Decided to try Indian Brasserie instead of the spice house (we have always been to the spice house which has been excellent when sitting in, since Indian Brasserie was takeaway only, we decided to give it a go for the match) - we preordered the previous day for 7pm.

Upon turning up, the place seemed busy, but seemed like they were managing (since only offering take always). We waited over 20 minutes after the preorder time which was disappointing.

We then got home and realised that the restaurant had missed our starters out, so I called the restaurant and explained what happened (being late and now missing starters - this was very disappointing).

We were told by the staff that they will call us back when they realise where the mistake was made. Bearing in mind we had the starter salad and sauce so we were really frustrated at this to say the least.

Until now, I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and rude manager, having being put on after explaining we are not waiting for them to get back to us to figure out they left our starters out.

The manager on the phone refused to have the starter delivered and would only refund the starter if we went right away.

It’s absolutely no wonder why people don’t support small business during covid. This is exactly the reason why - because big businesses do it right, and on the occasion that they do it wrong - they put it right straight away.

Anyway, the manager took the call, argued that we were in the wrong, proceeded to hang up the call and then upon calling him back, he got angry and hung up again.

If the business are that desperate for money and continue thieving from customers, then they should not be allowed to stay open.

Tldr: don’t bother going to the Indian brasserie - try the spice house instead where the experience will be much more pleasant.

Won’t be back - next time we will stick to...

Coming from Bradford, I can confidently say that I recognise a good curry. Unfortunately, the Indian Brasserie in Seahouses, in my opinion, cannot. The vegetable sharing starters, an onion bahji, vegetable bahji and samosa were absolutely tasteless. The main course of Lamb and King Prawn Karahi was equally devoid of any flavour!

The chapattis were so dry they just crumbled and at £2.00 each I would have expected far better.

The actual service was pretty good, but badly let down by the “Chef”.

When asked by the waiter, how was the meal? I was discreetly honest. To be fair, they took the King Prawn Karahi away and said they would make another. They did and the “chef”, obviously consistent, made exactly the same tasteless dish.

We ordered the food as outlined above, along with a pint of Cobra and a large Coke together with two popadoms and the pickle tray. The final bill was £72.00 for the two of us. A high price for a very, very poor meal.

Given some of the other reviews, maybe we were unlucky, or the kitchen staff have changed recently? On leaving the waiter said he had spoken to the “Chef” who apparently said that the next time we visited he would make sure it was better. Not surprisingly, I will not be affording him that...

We have come down to stay for the weekend to celebrate a birthday, we spent the day at Seahouses and then ordered a takeaway at Indian Brasserie to takeaway so we didn’t have to travel back for an order, phoned and gave order no problem, receipt stated king prawn hari chillie but when we opened our delivery it was chicken, I don’t eat meat so was very disappointed, I phoned to let them no the mistake and was told the error was made and if we could go and collect the dish but as our driver had then settled till a drink no one could drive and we were checking out tomorrow at 10am so wouldn’t be open. He said he would give a refund but we had to drive back to give a signature for a refund but as no one could drive due to having a drink then checking out tomorrow at 10am we couldn’t come back for refund, he said he couldn’t do it over the phone which is ridiculous in this day and age as card payments can be taken over the phone, he then said next time we visit he would give the refund but we will not be through this way again as not from here, I ended up having nothing and so disappointed. Really angry that they couldn’t do a straight forward refund over the phone so out of pocket for an...

We were there on a hugely busy evening during a sunny Half-Term Tuesday. We arrived without a booking and only had to wait a few minutes to be seen to a table. Staff were efficient, attentive and friendly. It genuinely was one of the best curries we'd eaten in a long while. Rajasthani Lamb Chops main was outstanding; beautifully marinated and cooked, with 5 small, tender chops, yes 5. Sides and breads were generous and excellent and my health conscious wife was very impressed with the lack of oil in the dishes. They clearly cater for all tastes and budgets as, not only did they look after a small boy on an adjoining table by offering him nuggets and chips ("they were wonderful" - his words not mine) they can also offer you a bottle of Moet at £54 (their cheapest champagne) up to an eye watering £159 for a bottle of Dom Perignon. They also have plenty of great value wines amongst a very good selection. Surprised and delighted to have found it. If you want a table during the school holidays either book in advance or wait until later in the evening. We really can't recommend it highly enough. Treat yourself, you know you want to...

Incredible experience, amazing food. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Service was very good and food was very quick. There is parking nearby and easy access to the restaurant. With a bar, restaurant and takeaway service, Indian Brasserie is a must-have for those looking for an authentic Indian cuisine. I recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala and, for those looking for a hotter meal, the prawn tempura. The Onion Bhaji is incredible, caramelised beautifully and the lamb chops were “to die for” (according to my dad) (I can confirm they were indeed to die for).

Great find in Seahouses..! Food was really tasty and came out really quick..! Staff were friendly as well..! Steps down the ladies toilets need attention. All in all a nice place to end the day with a full a belly..! A big BUT...pls check your receipt before leaving as I was over charged and didn't realise at the time 🤦..which i understand is also my fault. Calling the establishment after the fact though was met with the phone being hung up. They clearly get a lot of customers so who cares about the odd disgruntled one right..!
