Spur of the moment Sunday lunch at Ingleby Cafe Bistro, 27 Feb '22. We ordered one beef meal and one pork meal at £12.95 each. The beef was pink and too tough to eat! Lunch spoilt. After politely complaining to a member of staff, we were told that several complaints had already been received, and a deduction of £5 would be made. Bearing in mind previous customers had already made staff aware that the beef was inedible: Why wasn't it removed from the menu? Why weren't we made aware of this when ordering our meals? Why, when food served was not fit for purpose, feel justified in only removing £5 from the bill instead of giving a full refund?

On every occasion, the food has been outstanding, the service exceptional, and the prices very reasonable. The music can sometimes be a little loud, but is instantly turned down upon request. The menu is extensive, and every dish we or our dining companions have experienced has been wonderful, and very much enjoyed.
