Italian touch by Ivano — Restaurant in England

My wife and I visited the new restaurant on the High Street last night and I felt compelled to leave a review. We booked easily at short notice online as we had been meaning to try it out since it had opened. Upon arrival the greeting was so warm and genuine, the venue has a lovely authentic and romantic feel. The pace and friendliness of service was perfect. We opted for meatballs and arancini for starters which were delivered swiftly and clearly cooked from scratch, the quality of the ingredients were obvious from the first taste - portions generous and they did not last long! Mains were the carbonara which was on special and the seafood risotto - both plentiful and very flavoursome, the side of chunky chips were also on another level!!! I always say you can judge an establishment on their chips! We swerved desert due to being full but the options were extremely tempting and novel. We had a very special meal and night out - the man that was single-handedly looking after all the customers was a pleasure to speak with and he really went the extra mile to make our night truly memorable, for all the right reasons. I had the chance to visit this restaurant a couple of weeks ago after a business meeting, and I was pleasantly surprised. The place isn’t very big, and it was quite busy, but the staff was incredibly attentive and quickly found us a table.

We didn’t have much time, so we went for something quick. For starters, we tried two Panuzzos (The Italian Sandwich): the Cottoleta, one of my personal favourites, which was spectacular, and the Mortazza, made with mortadella—absolutely amazing! Both are generously sized, so I’d recommend sharing them.

For the main course, we went with pizzas. Three of us chose the Capricciosa, which was fantastic, and the other person opted for the Quattro Formaggi, which also got rave reviews.

We ordered through deliveroo. Received an order from another restaurant so didn’t accept it and deliveroo could only offer a refund. A few minutes later, a lady from the restaurant called us to apologise that the driver hadn’t collected the order and collected the wrong one and that it wasn’t the restaurants fault. We accepted this but obviously we are hungry, it’s 9:30pm and we have no food. The restaurant then called us back and the manager offered to drive after work and drop us what we ordered in his own time so that we had our meals. Not only was this incredible customer service but the food was unreal! We told them on the phone that we had been refunded but all the restaurant cared about was that we had our food.
