We had a truly wonderful meal here at Three Rooms last week. The walls are adorned with facts and timelines detailing the history of Indian food and restaurants in the UK. Not very often that I come away from an Indian restaurant having learned something! The service from all the staff was efficient and cheerful, just the way we like it. Their poppadoms and toppings are all prepared fresh on the premises, which are sweet onion, mango chutney, fresh salad and a dark smokey sauce - not exactlysure what the latter is, but I'dlove the recipe! We chose the Paarl Heights shiraz from the wine list. Great for rich curries made with dark meats 🍷 For starters, I had the garlic king prawns, and my partner had the tandoori lamb chop. The prawns were butterflied and tender, and the garlic sauce was absolutely scrumptious. The lamb chop came with two different types of mint sauce, one of which was a luminous bright green colour! 🟢 both were equally delicious and complemented the lamb perfectly. For my main, I chose their signature dish of Jaipuri duck curry with mushroom rice and a peshawari naan bread. My partner chose the chicken tikka masala with peshawari rice. The duck was cooked to perfection (still sizzling away in the pot when it arrived at the table!) and melted in the mouth. The combination of cumin, garlic, fennel and cinnamon in the sauce was an absolute stroke of genius. A truly wonderful mid-spice curry. They were no slouch when it came to the tikka masala either, not too sweet and not too tart. Just right. The rice was also well seasoned and wasn't dripping with ghee. Another jewel in the crown of Indian restaurants here in Bedford. Highly...

I'm truely disappointed to leave this review. Having read such possitive feed back. We came in as a large booking. Promptly told too much hard work for them to keep tabs individually. Food arrived and I was not able to eat my meal all at once so I left to have a cigarette and chat out side with friends and I came back to find my meal was gone. I then went to pay paid for the few bites I had plus poppadoms that I didn't have. As we all went to pay the last of party was then stiffed with £90 extra. With no clear tab record kept it was impossible to determain how this happened to rectify it. Every one said that they ended paying more than they thought so how was their such a big discrepancy? They were unfriendly in rectifying the issue I was so angry I went out side and we all discussed how it felt hostile and unfriendly there. It doesn't hurt to smile at your customers. I'm truly just baffled by the lack of effort and even though I can't say any one was rude or the food was terrible. It wasn't enjoyable. I wouldn't go back. Neither will any...

Sadly the experience was more than disappointing. Arrived on time and was shown to our table and sat there for over ten minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink. Got the drinks and one was incorrect with no apology. Ordered our staters at 8.30 and had to chase for them at 9.20, and once received they were warm at best. Mentioned this to the waiter and received a half hearted apology but no contact from a senior waiter or manager acknowledging out initial poor experience. 10.10pm and I had to go and find the owner to establish if our main courses were arriving and at 10.25 it arrived again warm at best. The attention, understanding and general customer service was dreadful. Sitting opposite us were two regulars who witnessed our experience and like us were disappointed with what happened .I asked for the bill and even then no apology, so I asked to speak with the owner/manager but he conveniently was talking on his mobile phone so I didn’t have the chance to express my...

Always drive past this place and finally got to check it out. It was a very confusing experience. Having white tables, doesn’t automatically make a place opulent. Food standard didn’t match the surrounding. Paneer tikka was actually really nice, small but still good. Confused to why a place like that needed such a bright fake green chutney tho. Curries were odd to say the least. I always get sad when restaurants think they can serve whatever and their customers don’t know any better. Had about 5 pieces of lamb in the naga. It was full of heat but lacked flavour and complexity. Butter chicken was more like a korma.. which still tasted good but wasn’t anything like a butter chicken. Naans were nice.

The venue itself is lovely, especially the new outside marquee, which is nice and warm. But the curry wasn't as amazing as we'd heard. Basic and not that flavourful. The waiters weren't very friendly. Also found it funny they give ladies small glasses and men big ones when you order beer. In this day and age that seems a little strange! I wasn't offended, but I know some people who would be.
