Jingles — Restaurant in England

This is the worst restaurant me and my family have ever been too! If I could rate it a 0 I would, when we first arrived the staff looked miserable and hardly spoke to you, we noticed that the table next to us was complaining to the manager about his food and not wanting to pay, that should have been a warning sign for what was to come with our experience. After we ordered our food we had to wait 30 minutes just for the starter, when it came out it was greasy and tasteless. We then waited another 45 minutes whilst watching the chefs make orders for uber eats rather than serving the customers in the restaurant. We told the manager this several times to which we kept getting told that our food was on the way, after an hour my toddler started to cry as he was getting hungry, It was 8 o’clock and after being there from 6:45 I went to the manager and complained saying that I wanted the bill and to just leave, he was aware my son was crying and that we no longer wanted the food we had to wait over an hour for. He then persisted that we stayed and that the food would be made straight away, after telling him that we wasn’t interested several times he then tells us that we shouldn’t be bringing our son to a restaurant at that time and that he should be asleep! How disgusting! We had been there since 6:45pm and it was a family Holiday! They prioritised delivery orders more than the people eating at their restaurant! Absolutely ridiculous! We visited without booking and were accommodated very nicely by staff and the manager. We had a window seat which was nice, but then got very hot for me as the sun had started to appear. Again, the owner and manager said they would look into it going forward. They had recently reopened due to COVID restrictions.

Our children had seen a menu item online and so had chosen in advance. The restaurant had a reduced menu once we were there, but again could accommodate our children's choice. Well done and thank you. Our food was very good, tasty and colourful as you would expect from a mexican. We even had refried beans, which I have not had very often in Mexican restaurants I have visited. Nice touch. I would have liked a little more salad, but that is personal preference and was only meant as a garnish.

Overall the service was top notch, we even got served mayonnaise in a little pot, rather than wasteful plastic sachets. Hand gel was plentiful and we were kindly asked to wash our hands upon entering and going to the bathroom. Well done Jingles and we would...

Edit: We went for a sit down meal this time, and were in a rush due to having to leave late and had cinema after, I called ahead to book our meal and they were Very accommodating! We arrived and the food came out shortly after, nice, hot and delicious. All staff we encountered were cheerful and we were able to make the cinema in time too!

Perhaps the best part however, is how delicious the vegetarian Fajita was. My partner has an onion allergy too, and they were able to make an onion free, quorn/vege fajita dish which actually tasted so good it puts many other places to shame.

So, highly recommended for vegetarians! Jingles never fail to deliver, great tastes and perfectly big portions. Had it as a takeaway and the food was just as good as in house. Supplied in trays so it was all neat on arrival.

I always love the massive portions and that still rings true even as a takeaway. The size and flavours keep bringing me back, don't ever change!!
