Paighton itself is lovely and so is the pier haven’t got a bad thing to say about the place at all apart from this certain burger van which is an absolute disgrace I’m having to write a review on here about them as they don’t have a website to write one on, absolute disgrace of a place is this big burger van in the picture below opposite the spud shack and next to Hyde Dens, I ordered 3 bacon rolls and a portion of fries which cost an arm and a leg the lad who cooked it looked about 15 the bacon was already cooked and was cold I watched him recook it on the grill and put chips that were cooked and cold back in the frier to warm them up absolutely disgusting the bacon was black and couldn’t even chew it and the chips were like eating a rock nearly snapped my tooth chucked it all in the bin the place is an absolute joke and the prices are ridiculous for the quality of food, I’d honestly rather eat dog food than eat anything from that van again absolutely disgusting should be ashamed, avoid this place...

Overall, the arcade is well-equipped and modern with mostly new gaming machines. However, the overall fun factor seems lacking, especially for adults who may have outgrown the appeal of these games. The requirement to spend money to earn tickets for prizes, mostly of low value from Poundland, is a drawback. It's disappointing to see that children are more focused on earning tickets rather than simply enjoying the games for what they are.

It would greatly benefit the arcade to introduce more games purely for entertainment purposes, rather than emphasizing the ticket system that seems to dominate the experience. By offering a wider variety of games that appeal to a broader audience and focusing more on creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere, the arcade could potentially attract a more diverse range of customers and improve the overall experience...

My daughter was subject to an unprovoked attack of sexism by the manager no less! On trying to feed tickets into the temperamental ticket counter machines the manager commented that women can't use machinery. He said this to a 14 year old minding their own business. After the initial shock of this we sought an apology from him, to which he initially denied saying this to her (we were the only ones at the machines at the time) and then passed it off as a joke. We highlighted that we found this offensive and with no place on today's society. We eventually had a condescending apology. As a side, before seeking the apology we mentioned this to a female member of staff who seemed afraid to say anything tonthe manager. I feel massively let down by this experience. I am proud of my daughter for standing up for...

For some reaon this post was linked to Paignton Pier? Obviously it was a post for Nings Thai in Gosport. Went to visit my family in Gosport. Planned to go for a meal on the Monday evening (23rd August). Read the reviews for Nings Thai restaurant, so it looked promising. Booked a table for 6pm. What a great experience, totally covid safe. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't wait long for our starters, we were so spoilt for choice we had ordered 4!!! The portions were so good that when our main meal arrived we couldn't finish it so we took it with us. We had ribs as one of our starters, the meat just fell off the bone, I have never tasted ribs like it. Every part of the meal was faultless. Try the Thai wine, what a perfect compliment to the food. Brilliant visit.

Paignton Pier is an absolute delight! Stepping onto this iconic landmark feels like stepping into a bygone era of seaside charm and nostalgia. The pier offers stunning views of the coastline, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or simply soaking up the sun. The variety of attractions and amusements, from classic arcade games to thrilling rides, ensures there's never a dull moment for visitors of all ages. Whether you're enjoying delicious fish and chips, browsing the quaint souvenir shops, or simply watching the world go by, there's a sense of magic and excitement in the air. Paignton Pier truly captures the essence of traditional British seaside fun and is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the beautiful coast of Devon. Highly recommended!
