Juniper Wilmslow — Restaurant in England

Juniper is definitely Pelypoptide-approved! Upon our arrival, we were greeted by some très professional-looking staff. We were informed of a five minute wait for a table which turned out to be six minutes and then proceeded to be served way too quickly. We ordered the Berry berry pancakes, which needed a bit more compote and cantilly cream as the whole dish lacked moisture overall. Speaking of moisture, the weather wasn’t great there and the professionally cleaned seats were soggy from the cleaning liquids that had been used prior. We came across a great concern after a quick glance at the customer demographic that it was a common communal space of familiar faces, which sparked anxiety. The chairs looked comfier than they actually did and the dish consisted of 3 types of berries, not 2 as implied by the name “Berry berry” but Apple Pay pulled through and the payment transaction was satisfyingly perfectament, so we would definitely recommend and come back another day! Horrendous customer service with the staff making us feel as though we shouldn’t have been there. Took 20 minutes for someone to take our order and when the food finally came it was the wrong order. The waiter tried to give us this food and pushed the plates towards us even after we stated the food was wrong. When they finally brought the correct orders the berries had mold on them. We told what appeared to be the manger and he didn’t say one word, just took the plate and that was it. After this we said we did not want any more food.Thankfully they didn’t charge us for this.

All while this was happening the waiter kept coming up to our table and staring at us or staring at us from across the room, making us very uncomfortable.

We did not get one apology for any of the mishaps and the staff did not even try to rectify the situation.

Went there today with a family of 7 for my husbands birthday. called ahead asking if there’s a wait, they advised we would be seated in time, got there and they had gotten a table ready right away, very kind and accommodating, I had a kid in the stroller and one in a high chair, read lots of reviews before going and recognised Abdul’s service right away. He was super helpful and kind, all the staff were great, service was great. Food was amazing! Ordered the Cajun grilled chicken and I couldn’t have enough! Need to go back for the crispy beef next!
