If you like a depressing looking fry up and have some spare money you wanna burn🔥, look no further.. this was a truly sad experience... I went for the most expensive option the "MAC Special". The coffee tasted like it had been filtered thru a human centipede and I was the unfortunate person at the end, eagerly awaiting my portion ... The "MAC Special" was special in one particular area.. the way that the chef had with meticulous skill, (And what i can only imagine the Michelin star level training) ...managed to make every item on the plate seem lonely, along side each of the "no frills" ingredients accompanying it. One of which was bread fried so DEEP it likely got the bends when they rescued it from the bottom of the fryer.. one dissilutioned egg that came sailing about the top of the greasy bread slice, with a air sadness so thick it would make a hard man cry, a solitary hash brown and 2 rashers of bacon... the bacon was the only saving grace because there was 2 and messing up bacon is tantamount to wizardry and can't be done.
If UKIP made breakfasts this would have been it.
A bit like Brexit. It was full of promises but overall disappointing, expensive and probably has shortened my life expectancy.
Wouldn't recommend Don't try this...
Read moreVery disappointed. One member of staff was polite but the other clearly didn't want to be there. We had to decide what to order and pay before I even sat down. I felt quite under pressure to hurry incase someone else came along. There's no menu on the table. Myself and my partner ordered sandwiches for ourselves and some plain chips for our 2 year old. The chips came with salt all over them. I didn't complain, I just wiped the salt off as I gave them to him. I think I was caught wiping the salt off by a member of staff as he stared at me very unhappily every few minutes throughout my visit. I tried to ignore this but then struggled to eat. I poured a little HP Brown Sauce on my sandwich. Turns out, it wasn't HP. They fill the bottles with cheap condiments instead. The "Heinz" ketchup is also not Heinz. Just cheap ketchup with added vinegar. At £4.95 for a sandwich, surely they can afford to buy decent condiments and not decieve people. Others could be allergic to certain ingredients which...
Read moreI've eaten at mac's years ago 2-3 times a week on a regular basis but moved away, now back in kemptown so looked forward to early morning breakfast at mac's, wow the breakfast was nothing like it used to be, cheap ingredients sausages so bland tasted horrible, bacon so salty I couldn't eat it, cheap margarine on the toast made toast tasteless and soggy, I have wonder how much custom they lose serving up this rubbish, surely they could buy better ingredients for just a few pence more. Not to give up next time I tried the cottage pie lunch honestly it was disgusting same as the breakfast cheapest ingredients I'd say 8% mince then bulked up with with god knows what it wasn't even identifiable, the vegatables looked tasted like they came out of a tin and boiled to nothing I'm done with mac's...
