Disappointed to say the least went there in July looked in the window to see fantastic looking pasty's with a great price for 10 to take home so couldn't resist in I went to be told they didn't have ten large but in half an hour fresh would be there I ordered and paid up front to collect later I came back an hour later and there they were 10 glorious looking pasties in a box still warm with a long drive home and the car smelling wonderful home we went all very happy after or holiday. HOWEVER we arrived home at daft o'clock due to car problems and went straight to be BUT next day I couldn't wait and straight into lunch I attack without resistance my firsts pasty OH DEAR there's no taste right through the middle is a big lump of dry over cooked mince so over cooked I couldn't break it down with a fork and had to be cut into chunks YES chunks and to top it off no Swede or onion in it no seasoning for flavour here's me thinking this must be a one off but everyone since has been the same I've just had number 4 and I opened this one up first to mix it up and the meats solid and once again no Swede or onion SORRY BUT ITS THE LAST TIME I BUY FROM HERE I had a single pasty from the next shop down a couple of days before and wish I'd gone back to LOOE BAKERY it was so much better SORRY BUT THATS THE TRUTH and I Still have...

I'm sorry to say that, although I adore your cream and ice cream, yesterday we got pasties and they were just too awful to eat. To be fair it was mid afternoon and they were reduced to clear. I was asked if I'd like them heated to which I said yes please. Both decisions were wrong. The taste was horrid and the pastry went soggy from being microwaved but the filling was still cold in the middle. We ate a bit as we were very hungry but relented and put them in the bin. I think that you would be better off not selling those at all to be honest as they're not a good reflection of your bakery. Sorry to say that .... but will be in for cream and ice cream today though.

UPDATE I called in for an ice cream. A large vanilla. The scoops were different colours? One was bright yellowish and the other was more white/cream coloured. I asked if it was right? The guy who served it told me that it was because they were different ice creams. One was a local one and the other was Kelly's. I could see that they had both been put into the same tub but they were at different ends .....😕 Unfortunately neither tasted good and were full of ice where it had defrosted and refrozen. Yes, its only a pastry and an ice cream but, sorry, both experiences have put us off going there again...

I have to be completely honest. I don't write reviews often and I certainly try to avoid writing negative reviews unless I really have to, but if you want a steak pasty, go literally anywhere else.

I've eaten hundreds of pasties from Penzance to Plymouth and I honestly think I'd rather eat a cold Ginsters than have another pasty from here. Please get the baker to eat one and compare to somewhere like Pedyrs in Polperro, or Looe bakery a few doors down. I'd say it was maybe a bad batch, but 2 in a row on different days of different months and I received a cold, anaemic, wallpaper-paste-coloured filling which tasted neither like beef, or veg, just a sort of salty sour blandness. Pastry I would say is a 5/10, lovely golden brown, a bit flakey, a bit short (both good things) but biting into it it was floury, underbaked and somehow both over and under seasoned.

I'm really sorry to leave a bad review, usually I'm in the mind of giving people the benefit of the doubt, and if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all, but I just hope for the sake of your customers (me being one of them) it can actually be helpful in adjusting your recipe a little.

On the positive side, the apple and almond cake was delicious, light, fluffy and...

Beef pasty with everything but the beef! I was looking forward to a cornish pasty in cornish Looe but unfortunately I was left a little deflated. The pasty was a reasonable price for a large pasty in a tourist spot (5.50). It was filling and had delicious pastry but there was barely any beef! Possibly 6 small pieces amongst an onion and swede filling. A pint of swede and onions wrapped in pastry. In summary I feel that they are taking advantage of cornish tradition and a prominent position at the start of the main High Street in favour of profit. Sad times.

This was amazing place lovely bakery with amazing cakes. I sat in and had a nice Cornish pasty which was amazing it was nice and hot. i also had a plain scone with jam and cream and was amazing. It was nice as we didn’t have to eat for a table we sat straight down and there was a member of staff they came to our table and took our order straight away. The good then came out so quick and was so fresh it was amazing.

Stopped one morning for a bite to eat and a drink ... The staff are really nice and friendly and the food is great .. We took out ( a few times ) the massive cornish pastys and even took some home as they really are delightful And had some scones with clotted cream and jam and some Belgium buns ( all seemed super sized as well ) It's just a shame I'm 300 miles away as I think I would be in everyday 😁😁
