Viceroy Indian Restaurant and takeaway — Restaurant in England

Ordered a click and collect online around 6:30pm and were told to come and collect at 7:40pm. When we arrived, the place was in chaos. Several people had been waiting for 2 hours for their orders and the phone was ringing off the hook for delivery. We eventually got our food just after 8:30pm. When we got home we had 4 dishes missing - poppadoms, mango chutney, an order of onion bhajis and garlic naan - the food was cold and some of the bags of food only half full. Didn’t even bother ringing because so many people had called whilst we were waiting and for missing items and they weren’t arriving. The girl on the tills (I believe her name was Frankie) was a star - she alone was holding it together and giving fab customer service. The owner gave no apology, no money off/refund or any sort of care for the terrible organisation. I’m just grateful this isn’t our local - I’d never be returning. One of the worst Indians we’ve had. And £30 for basically 1 curry, some Bombay potatoes, an order of onion bhajis, two pots of random sauce we didn’t order and half a bag of chips - awful! I’m sure whoever’s order they did at the same time were equally annoyed that they received our...

We booked a family getaway for 1 week with 12 people in our family party. As we are on holiday we thought we would treat ourselves to a night of not cooking and we all agreed on Indian. Our accommodation had the takeaway menu so we thought other must of purchased food before. I Placed my order at 6.30pm and as there was a lot of us was expecting it to take at least 1 hour and the gentlemen over the phone confirmed that. My husband and brother-in-law got to the restaurant for 7.25pm and on arrival they confirmed we has never placed an order. My husband had to help the gentleman on the front desk search for our order which later turned out that they had only passed the request to the kitchen at 7pm. Then insulated my husband to say we only called 30mins ago, as this time it was 7.45pm and my husband said cancel the order once they confirmed we would have to wait another 1 hour and with no apologise or compassion for there error.

We have loved this restaurant for many years so returned there last night. We were seated quickly but then basically ignored for the next two hours. The table behind us who came in at least half an hour after us were served with their food before us, we then had to chase ours. After 2 hours our food finally arrived but it was appalling and cold. Thought we would ask for a doggie bag for the rice and pita bread as this was the best bit of the meal. We were brought out a plastic pot and brown bag and asked to bag it ourselves....we left it on our table as well as the bottle of wine that we didn't drink. We complained and were given £5 off the £50 bill. It seems that this should only be a takeaway establishment as they don't seem to care about table bookings. We will not be returning to this place again. Oh and they has electric heaters in the restaurant as clearly have no heating so...
