The place was clean and welcoming, and the bar staff and waitress were very polite and friendly. We ordered 3 fish and chips, 2 pints of Coke, a non-alcoholic Thatchers, and a blackcurrant Thatchers, total came to £69. Food arrived in about 15 minutes, which was great, but unfortunately, we were a little disappointed with the fish and chips. The fish was quite oily, the batter seemed overcooked, and the chips were also on the overdone side. Perhaps our expectations were a bit high, especially as it’s a lovely fishing village and we've had some excellent fish and chips recently in Whitby. That said, the customer service was brilliant, and we really appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere, big plus! Based on the overall experience (especially the service), we’re giving it 3 stars. Without that, the food alone would have been closer to a 2. DJ Reviews

Didn’t stay at the hotel but did use the restaurant one night. Wasn’t very busy at all as we were the only ones sat in the dining area, so I can’t comment on atmosphere. The menu was slightly small, compared to their old previous menu I had seen online. 3 of us ordered the 10oz sirloin steak dish which was really good, very tender and good quality for quite a good price but one of us ordered the chicken burger which did look slightly pink unfortunately. Might have just been the lighting as it did take a while to come, probably around 35 minutes (I assume not because of the steaks) but it still put them off once noticed. Can’t fault the restaurant however as we didn’t make anyone aware of this issue and we chose to leave it, so also can’t comment on how that would have been handled. I would recommend the steak dish.

A really nice spot to stop off and enjoy some classic pub grub! Good selection of local bevvies, nice friendly staff, quirky decor, cosy sofas, sweet view over the harbour watching the boats bob about, and general lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food reasonably priced and generous portion sizes - my partner ordered Fish and chips and said it was the best he'd had in ages! I had the pea and mint fritters (which were super delicious!) as well as breaded mushrooms and chips. Let me say, the chips aren't regular seaside chips, these are ELITE. They are wedge cut, but wedged again giving you deliciously crispy yet fluffy chips. If anything I was annoyed at what a huge portion they'd given as I couldn't physically eat any more. I was sad to see them go! Highly recommend popping in here, whether for a drink or some food

My family and I have been coming to Looe for many years and we've have built up good relationship with the Owners of a couple of properties that we've stayed in and they have all treated us amazingly well. We love Looe and it's a place we hold very dear to our hearts. However, I have never experienced anything like the treatment we received when we stay at the Harbour Moon Inn. We originally booked a Family room with a sofa bed for my Auntie & her 9 year old grandchild and a twin room for myself and my boyfriend. When we arrived, we were told by Karen that the Family room had been booked up and it wasn't available, instead we were given a small double bed with an en-suite and the original twin room. Karen told us it would be cheaper than what we originally booked, so we got showed around the rooms all while Karen was saying "If you think about it, it's the same price as a family meal out", she said this three times, Karen also kept saying "I'm sorry I don't normally do this" - A bit funny considering she's the manager/owner. We were worried that the card we paid with would be charged the amount for the family room, instead of the cheaper room we ended up with, so we asked Karen if she could change it and she assured us she would or that we could pay by cash when we leave. However, the following day the card was charged the original amount, so we went into the hotel and spoke to Karen to see if she could refund the difference, Karen agreed that she would do so but not straight away, we questioned this and asked if she could provide us with proof or some sort of confirmation that she would do this. As we didn't want to go back home the following day and have to chase it up from all the way back home. Karen refused to give us proof, which we questioned her why and this is where it went sour. She claimed that we were the ones that said " If you think about it, it's the same price as a family meal out" which was a lie". I have never in my life seen anyone in hospitality behave the way she did, Karen continued to shout at my auntie calling her a liar and saying she was aggressive, (when she most definitely wasn't - purely standing up for herself) all in front of her 9 year old grandchild - absolute despicable behaviour, especially from a manager. She was the most condescending and patronising individual I have ever met and honestly if that was anyone else, they would've been fired there and then but because she owns & manages the place she thinks it's ok! In the end after persuasion she eventually provided us with proof that she could refund the money and then moved on to kick us out because she accused my Auntie of lying and being aggressive - which was far from the truth - just read the other reviews on TripAdvisor.

We will be taking this further, I would advise not to book here, the facilities are shockingly average, more like a hostel than a BnB. If you're looking for good customer service this is not the place - they don't even have hand soap in...

We visited this place to eat as a family with a small puppy, We picked the Harbour Moon Inn as it advertises itself as dog friendly and for us that is very important.|On arrival we found a table for four by the bar which had been cleared since the previous guests had sat there but it definitely had not been cleaned as there was lots of food still on the table, this is not a massive problem for me and I sorted it myself with a couple of serviettes, I ordered drinks from the bar and asked for a menu which I was told to collect myself it was at this point I noticed a sign asking for no dogs on the sofas which I fully understand and agree with. We ordered food and sat and enjoyed our drinks. As we had a puppy with us and she likes to eat any foods she can get off the floor we are constantly checking that she doesn’t get anything in her mouth that would harm her and we noticed the floor around and under the tables was absolutely filthy and we were in a constant battle to keep her away from the food stuff on the floor, we asked if we could perhaps have a dustpan and brush so we could brush the floor around our table this was handed to my daughter and she got on her hands and knees and cleaned the floor as much as she could. Once we had finished eating and were waiting for the pool table to become available I picked up my pup and sat her on my knee whilst sat on a wooden chair next to the table as there was still plenary of stuff on the floor that I didn’t want her to get to and was very rudely told “she shouldn’t be up there” and was asked to put her down.|This is absolutely NOT a dog friendly place to eat it is more a place that will tolerate dogs a bit but would prefer if you didn’t have one.|The only thing I can say is the food was very good and if you don’t have a dog or like your surroundings to be too clean then it’s...
