Stale food. Do not buy from here. What a complete rip off. Staff completely lied through their teeth about the freshness of the food, the items we bought were so stale. Please see other reviews from other customers who say the same, wish I had seen the reviews before I spent my hard earned money on this rubbish. Will never buy from here again. Will also make sure I let friends and family know, so they go elsewhere and not waste their money.

In response to your reply, we were passing through and didn’t actually taste the products until we had returned to our rental cottage, and hour away. However I think you are completely missing the point. This wasn’t one cake/item, this was several items purchased from your bakery, and the assurance by your staff that these were fresh that day, we’re a complete lie. This review echos many of the negative reviews I have seen on Google and trip advisor. I have also added a factual review on trip advisor myself, as potential new customers need to be aware that they are being misled and ripped off. I can now see there is a reason that you are rated 7 out of 7 bakeries in Looe. You clearly haven’t taken any notice of all the previous negative reviews about your rude staff or poor stale products. 30% of Trip advisor reviews are either poor or terrible, you should address these collective issues instead of making repeated excuses, as is documented by other customers on various review sites. I fully intend to contact trading standards and environmental health about these issues, and will ensure that I advise friends and family to avoid this awful...

If I could get away with minus 5 stars I would apply them, we had to stop and load my very obviously disabled mother in law into my car and the only space was the reserved area outside the shop, as the loading area was occupied by a large lorry, we were almost immediately accosted by an aggressive young lady saying her boss was coming to use the bay. We had already started the process and my mother in law was out of her wheel chair and we were putting the chair in the car. The lady literally said we had to move now, we said we would only be a few more minutes but she was adamant we should move, this was done in a very unfriendly way showing no concern or empathy for disability. One of our party stated we will be writing a review on TripAdvisor and the lady stated "Good luck with that we are not on TripAdvisor" and this was her last comment as she was walking back to the shop. We subsequently have had a conversation with the manager who explained that they have a lot of trouble with people parking there and we fed back how differently the whole exchange could have been if the lady had explained that and accepted our statement that we would be moving as soon as we had my mother in law loaded. The manager apologised. This kind of experience has really put a dampener on a lovely day in Looe where the rest of staff in all the shops, cafes and boats...

Extremely poor customer service. Invite myself, my partner and dog in from outside in from the rain to sit down.. knowing full well that we weren’t planning on having table service and only wanted something to take away. Took our money and when we choose a table then say to us.. ‘oh you want to sit down? Oh because there is an extra charge for sitting inside.’ Well in that case we will leave. We will not stand for somebody being misleading who we thought was being nice? Obviously not. We have worked in senior retail for the past 10 years- this is not how you treat people, especially those on holiday. We will not be back and will not recommend others to either. There are much nicer and prettier bakeries further...
