Masala Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in England

I went there last weekend on our way back after a day trip out of London, with family, 13 of us in total. The service was very poor. The waiters were impolite, and didn't seem too welcoming. Not one of them smiled or seemed friendly. We waited around 45 minutes or so after ordering and when asking how long the food would take to arrive, we were rudely asked why and if we were in a hurry and told to just wait it will come in when it's ready. We ordered drinks for the table and got cups for only half us at the table. The soft drinks we ordered were flat. Only the canned drinks were fizzy. The food was a little expensive for what we got. For example, the chicken on the starter menu was only 2 small pieces coated in around 2 inches of batter (or whatever it was that it was coated in) to make it look like a bigger piece of meat. I have been eating the Masala's food now for over 5 years. While the restaurant is nice and the staff are polite the reason I choose to use only this restaurant for Indian food is because of the quality and taste! Pretty much any other Indian restaurant I have been to before has been pretty much the same as the last when it comes to the food. The Masala's food just tastes much better, more authentic and fresher than the rest. This will be obvious to anyone on their first mouthful so if you haven't tried them yet and love Indian food don't miss this little place. I recommend trying their Bombay potatoes, they are perfection!

I ordered a prawn puree, worst ever it was literally just pastry and no prawn or filling of any sort. Really disappointed. The chicken Tika was nothing like I expected but it was really good whatever it was, chunks of chicken gorgeously cooked so so tender. Amazing flavours everything about that dish was spot on just wish I knew what it was as I'd probably order it again.
