Absolute joke of a McDonald gonna be contacting Hr. The manager need some serious training how to manage a store, inside was disgusting rubbish everywhere, why there’s no one walking round clearing up emptying bin’s ect like every branch, Waited almost an hour for my food which I paid through the app as the till and kiosks were closed and the lady was confused how I ordered food online through the McDonalds app 🤦‍♂️ and saying it shouldn’t have gone through . They were turning away people saying there’s no tills and only taking drive thru and delivery orders. This in turn made a lot of people confused and angry being a 24/7 lettting people in but not taking orders . This resulted in a man stealing someone online delivery bag and walking out. The staff never sore and were all confused were it went. But it was shocking the way they ran it. After I almost finally got my food after asking several times my burger and dippers were done say there god knows how long and was waiting on fries. Burger my stone cold dippers were cold Chips only thing decent, even coke had no syrup in it. Not to mention the kitchen mess jeeezz, under the fries station was chips on the floor were they stand under neath it with packaging also on the floor. And there was burger bun and mozzarella dippers nuggets all on the floor. Bins overflowing. Need serious investigation and everyone retrained.

Ended up getting conned by a guy named Riz at the McDonald's in Thurrock, Lakeside. He pitched us a deal for discounted food in exchange for allowing him to leave a review under our names. He took care of the whole review process on the app, making it sound like we were getting a great bargain. But after the review was submitted, he mentioned that the discount didn't apply to large meals, forcing us to downsize to medium ones. The so-called saving? A pitiful £2, which felt more like a slap in the face than a real discount. It's clear now that this discount offer was nothing more than a tactic to boost their ratings under false pretenses. To add insult to injury, during our meal, another staff member outright ignored our friendly 'hi' and didn't even acknowledge a 'thank you'. It's disappointing to see such a lack of basic courtesy in customer service. This experience wasn't just about the frustration of a misleading deal; it was also about the fundamental respect and interaction we expect in any service environment. I really hope McDonald's corporate takes notice of these practices and addresses what seems to be a case of rating manipulation and poor customer service. It's disheartening to think that these tactics might be used to artificially inflate a store's standing, all at the expense of genuine customer satisfaction.

This box is too small to list every issue!!! After 35 years of eating at McDonald’s I can definitely say Lakeside retail park branch is the worst EVER branch I’ve ever used. This is my local branch and I actively avoid it. The staff are regularly rude. I’m left at drive through speaker whilst 1-2 cars pass served on the 2nd speaker regularly. Food is ALWAYS old/cold/ and the fries regularly taste like cardboard. Look at the state of the philli cheese stack I got today. The cheese was set solid like it’s been in the fridge!!! Not melted. The chips went in the bin, And the XERO oasis I tried today was horrible. Bring back the real oasis. This isn’t an isolated review. This branch needs a serious head office re vamp. This branch does not in anyway provide that standards set by the branch, The food. The service. The drive through. I had paid on the app. (Eventually but that’s glitchy) I was at the speaker for ages. Left in silence.. then I was at the “pay window” with no staff present for ages!!! No idea where they were.. And then I get to the collection window.. and I’m charged 10p for a dip. After paying £7.29 for a naff burger and chips. Also,,.. the Phil cheese can only be customised on the app by removing items. I cannot add items. Head office to need to seriously look at this branch,

I have used this particualr McDonalds ever sinced it opened, which must be over 20 years now and it used to be fast and the food was always hot! But ever since they have automated their systems, the waiting time and que for food is always long, i have personally had to wait 15 - 20 minutes for my order to be completed and even then, mistakes were made, which i am afraid to say is now a common occurance!.... This i feel is all down and due to automation and the rush to get the food out as quick as they can because of the hefty ques and drive through waiting times. There are less staff around to take your order manually and you nearly always get directed to use the touch screen service tills. I really hate those things, as they take away peoples jobs and cause nothing but delays and not always good for elderly or people with disabilities etc. I remember the better days more than those of today at this resturant. Each and every time i have got food, i have a short drive home and the food never stays hot, let alone looks as good as the pictures of the food..I have before asked for the order to be replaced and that it lookes like what i have ordered, not just thrown together, like it normally looks..I do not think those who work their really care about the food they are preparing, all it is to them is a job and a busy one at that... The drive through itself has two ordering lanes that go into one, which are not very well laid out, which causes a race to who can get into the single lane first to get there order. The whole car park also is terribly laid out, you used to be able to drive through get your food and drive straight out around the front of the building, but alas some pencil pushing bright spark who drew up the plans made it ten times worse a few years ago, and now you have to drive round the whole car park before you can exit....Other Mcdonalds i have used over the years all now seem to be the same, slower with everything being directed to automation. Okay technology might be the way forward, but it is not always the best way forward for fast food...Not my favourite of...

McDonald's Review: A Grim, Rubbish-Filled Odyssey with a Side of “Sorry”

I walked into this McDonald's expecting a quick meal, but what I got was an adventure in grim. The floor? Not just dirty, not just grimy, but grim. It looked like the aftermath of a fast food festival that had gotten out of hand—napkins, crumbs, and stray fries everywhere. Honestly, it was like the place had given up on itself, but was still open for business.

The tables? Oh, they were something else. A mix of half-eaten burgers, fries in various states of abandonment, and ketchup packets that looked like they were actively plotting a rebellion against order. It was like a food fight had happened, but the participants had all left, and the mess was just... waiting for someone to care.

Then came my drink. The worker handed it to me, and with the grace of a true professional, she spilled about an eighth of it all over the table. Not the end of the world, but enough to create a sticky little puddle right in the middle of my personal dining space. She paused, gave a quiet “sorry,” and—here’s the kicker—walked away. No attempt to clean it up, no offer to bring me a new drink, just a quick exit, like she had completed her task and now had to go fulfill some other mysterious duty.

There I was, trapped in a sticky soda situation, wondering if I should use my fries as a mop or just embrace it as part of the "authentic McDonald's experience." The apology was so soft, I almost didn’t catch it. It was as if she was apologizing to the table and not me—like the table had been the real victim in this saga.

So, would I recommend this McDonald's? Only if you’re into grim food experiences, where the only thing faster than your meal is the worker’s retreat after spilling your drink. Bring a mop, a sense of humor, and maybe some extra napkins. You’re going to need them.

⭐⭐ (2 stars for the grim vibe and the whispered apology, but no action to...

Perhaps the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever gone to.

Firstly the car park is so poorly designed. You enter the car park in which you have to squeeze tightly next to the people waiting for the drive through, and then drive behind the store in which half way round the lanes between the drive through and car park rejoin, which is incredibly confusing and somewhat dangerous if you’re not paying attention.

Secondly I arrived at 10 because it was the only restaurant still open in the area and was surprised when I wasn’t allowed into the store because they had closed. I was then told by the same member of staff that I could still order through the app and enter the store, which has left me completely confused as they weren’t then closed.

Finally after ordering my food and paying for it, I and everyone else in the restaurant ended up waiting over fifteen minutes. All I had ordered were some McFlurrys ! When I finally got to eat the McFlurrys they were half melted as they had just been sitting on the side, something that I thought were quick and easy to make.

After a second visit two years later, hoping something had changed. I ordered table service through the app, only to have a staff member loudly shouting the order number out. I was very abruptly and rudely told that they don’t apparently do table service at night. Maybe change your options on the app then, as they had managed it for outside? Secondly a burger was cold and chips without salt, only to have them argue with me and each other over it.

Overall, I am very disappointed with this McDonald’s and will never be...
