Read moreCame here the day after new years and ordered a Smashed Egg Toast and a Blueberry Matcha. It was a chilly day and all the seats inside were full. Lady at the counter was so lovely and offered to let me know when a table opened up whilst I sat at a table outside.
The toast was presented beautifully and each component balanced each other very well. The capers were lightly salty, the smashed eggs were creamy but not fully mush and the salmon pieces were plentiful (see images to see the massive size of 2 pieces of smoked salmon). One small criticism I have is that it was really difficult to use the knife provided to cut into the toast (didn't use my hands because the toast was a massive tank 🥶). Maybe something with a more serrated edge would give customers an easier time.
The blueberry matcha was also delicious. Lovely layered presentation and the glass it was served in was cute. I've recently tried a blueberry matcha from blank street matcha down in London and think that Milchig's blueberry matcha tastes much better. The blueberry syrup feels homemade and the overall matcha was creamy, a little grassy but deliciously sweet.
Overall, I would recommend you come here for a meal as everything was high quality, served quickly and by lovely, friendly staff. However, I must say, food here is definitely on the pricey side - I'm talking London prices - so dining here is...
Read moreRecently discovered this gem. Wow. Despite the sugar comas it is absolutely wonderful. Genuinely baked with love. Really friendly informative staff and wonderful decedent and delicious cookies (they're like an event in their own right, heavy, thick and packed to the rafters full of chunky tasty ingredients)alongside proper brownies. Ice cream is wicked too and the loaded cookies are just taking the biscuit (see what I did there). Also. Worth pointing out that when you ask for extra toppings it's not some token thing. You get the real deal. You want extra nuts. You got it. Proper lashings of actual crunched up hand crumbled hazelnuts. This place is the real deal. Get involved. Proper naughty. Proper nice....
