Played the wrong film for over half an hour before finally admitting they didn't actually have a copy of the correct film. Staff said I needed to call their customer service number to get a refund as they were unable to process refunds themselves, and that I'd get a complimentary ticket for a screening of my choice as an apology. Called 5 times in one day, only got through to a human on one occasion who told me he had no record of any such incident occurring and then hung up on me. Gave up on the phone line at this point + managed to get an email address after asking around on social media, because they don't actually make their support email address publicly available anywhere. Emailed them, got an automated response saying they'd be in touch within 24 hours, but received nothing 3 days later. Decided to try the phone line again and after about 15 minutes on the phone with them finally got a refund--but no complimentary ticket!
If you're actually masochistic enough to put up with this level of service, then you should probably be aware the Princes Quay doors are now locked from around 6pm every night. If you don't drive but want to see a film that starts/finishes later than that, then bear in mind you'll need to walk down a poorly lit back street and through a multi storey car park to get to/from the cinema now, something I can imagine being quite uncomfortable for a...
Read moreOn Thursday I took my younger sister to see hotel transylvania, we arrived 30 minutes before the advertisements started which should allow plenty of time to buy a ticket and sit down in the screening room. However after being stood in a que for 40 minutes we still had not being served at this point I was fully ready to walk out of the cinema and take my custom else where but I couldn't not let down my 6 year old sister. Whilst stood in the que I watched a women who was working for vue on the tills take 8 minutes to put together one of the kids snack boxes and that's not even the including filling the box with popcorn, a chocolate bar and a drink! Once we where finally served after missing the first few minutes of the film which I could deal with we entered the screen which was absolutely packed out, there wasn't 3 seats together in the entire room bearing in mind I had my 6 year old sister and my friend with me we went back to the man who checks tickets who at first strongly implied we just sat where there was a seat meaning a 6 year old would be on her own!! We wasn't told at the check out that there was no seats next to each other and it wasn't until we requested a full refund they decided to go in and check people's tickets to make sure they where in the right seat. We finally got a seat all together and missed 20 minutes of the film! Extremely...
Read moreWouldn't normally leave a bad review, but recommend you call before a rriving , especially if you have excited kids! Paid on line for a fee for my two daughters and two of their friends to avoid the long queues. Got there was only one automated machine working so queued anyway. The kids were excited to use the new D.I.Y.coke machine.....which was out of order... Tried to get drinks at the check out...queued....eventually to be told they,d run out of co2!... No drinks except bottled. The kids had a minute to decide which ones in that time the staff member went and served another queue....we waited.... then to find the bottles of water were not for sale! They were on the retail shelves but only if you buy food a certain food deal....one of my daughter's only drinks water...we got a cup and made do with tap water. There was one bottle of coke left and very poor selection after that. Finally went through to the film only to be stopped by staff asking to see the tickets...he had stood and watched me get the tickets out of the machine.....came out of the film deafened as volume way too high, with a wet bum as the seat ld been allocated was damp and film had started so didn't want to make a fuss.Since all three cinemas are the same ticket price there wasn't really anything over...
