Played the wrong film for over half an hour before finally admitting they didn't actually have a copy of the correct film. Staff said I needed to call their customer service number to get a refund as they were unable to process refunds themselves, and that I'd get a complimentary ticket for a screening of my choice as an apology. Called 5 times in one day, only got through to a human on one occasion who told me he had no record of any such incident occurring and then hung up on me. Gave up on the phone line at this point + managed to get an email address after asking around on social media, because they don't actually make their support email address publicly available anywhere. Emailed them, got an automated response saying they'd be in touch within 24 hours, but received nothing 3 days later. Decided to try the phone line again and after about 15 minutes on the phone with them finally got a refund--but no complimentary ticket!

If you're actually masochistic enough to put up with this level of service, then you should probably be aware the Princes Quay doors are now locked from around 6pm every night. If you don't drive but want to see a film that starts/finishes later than that, then bear in mind you'll need to walk down a poorly lit back street and through a multi storey car park to get to/from the cinema now, something I can imagine being quite uncomfortable for a...

On Thursday I took my younger sister to see hotel transylvania, we arrived 30 minutes before the advertisements started which should allow plenty of time to buy a ticket and sit down in the screening room. However after being stood in a que for 40 minutes we still had not being served at this point I was fully ready to walk out of the cinema and take my custom else where but I couldn't not let down my 6 year old sister. Whilst stood in the que I watched a women who was working for vue on the tills take 8 minutes to put together one of the kids snack boxes and that's not even the including filling the box with popcorn, a chocolate bar and a drink! Once we where finally served after missing the first few minutes of the film which I could deal with we entered the screen which was absolutely packed out, there wasn't 3 seats together in the entire room bearing in mind I had my 6 year old sister and my friend with me we went back to the man who checks tickets who at first strongly implied we just sat where there was a seat meaning a 6 year old would be on her own!! We wasn't told at the check out that there was no seats next to each other and it wasn't until we requested a full refund they decided to go in and check people's tickets to make sure they where in the right seat. We finally got a seat all together and missed 20 minutes of the film! Extremely...

Wouldn't normally leave a bad review, but recommend you call before a rriving , especially if you have excited kids! Paid on line for a fee for my two daughters and two of their friends to avoid the long queues. Got there was only one automated machine working so queued anyway. The kids were excited to use the new D.I.Y.coke machine.....which was out of order... Tried to get drinks at the check out...queued....eventually to be told they,d run out of co2!... No drinks except bottled. The kids had a minute to decide which ones in that time the staff member went and served another queue....we waited.... then to find the bottles of water were not for sale! They were on the retail shelves but only if you buy food a certain food deal....one of my daughter's only drinks water...we got a cup and made do with tap water. There was one bottle of coke left and very poor selection after that. Finally went through to the film only to be stopped by staff asking to see the tickets...he had stood and watched me get the tickets out of the machine.....came out of the film deafened as volume way too high, with a wet bum as the seat ld been allocated was damp and film had started so didn't want to make a fuss.Since all three cinemas are the same ticket price there wasn't really anything over...

Excellent cinema in Hull within Princes Quay shopping centre. Bargain ticket prices, a good selection of snacks and stuff available (though expensive, as with every cinema ever) and good quality seating including upgrades to VIP seats for a small extra charge. We particularly like the fact that at Vue you can swing up chair arms on the standard seating making it easy to snuggle with small ones. Picture quality and sound is great and there are a range of screen sizes though there is only one massive one here. Car parking is free if you go in the evening, and cheaper during the day for cinema visitors - just remember to validate it using the screens at the counter! They also run a range of live screenings and events including opera, theatre and music and take part in the brilliant MediCinema charity screenings. We got to see the Spider Verse movie early as part of this recently.

Every time I go to this cinema there is an issue. Went to see the Gentlemen and the sound went wrong 20 minutes in. They cancelled the screening. Getting a refund online was a real hassle and the 'lady' I dealt with came across very rude. Just been to watch Bombshell and they've cancelled the screening at short notice (still on Google that its showing). That's a 15 mile trip and a parking charge for nothing. Yes, it's cheap to buy tickets...but you get what you pay for! The price of the snacks is daylight robbery with bags of sweets more than 3 times the price you pay in the supermarket. I'll either use another cinema or wait for the Blu Ray in future...it's just not worth the hassle visiting this cinema.

The view is an excellent multi screen cinema at the top of Princess Kay shopping centre. The seats are comfortable and as good as any Multiplex I've been to. The only criticism I have is when you queue up to get your tickets, even if the queue is very short and you think I've plenty of time the movie don't start for a couple of minutes, the same people who sell you the tickets then ask you if you want anything else, so then they get a great big shipping order of hot dogs, drinks, popcorn, so it takes an age for the person in front of you to get served. If there's a few people in front of you you could miss the start of the movie. My advice get there early.
