BIRTHDAY BRUNCH RUINED not very happy with this at all.. when we got to the table it was extremely wobbly and would make a huge slam to the ground if moved, in addition it was such a cramp space to get into due to the social distancing windows. When we got our food, which was a breakfast and a pepperoni pizza we were happy with how quickly it came and the drinks we got before hand (being a coca cola and a cappuccino), the food was hot and the pizza looked appealing when we first received it. However, we could immediately tell that the breakfast wasn’t up to scratch as the bacon looked grey and everything was piled up on each other. When my pizza began to cool down I noticed quite a lot of grease coming out of it and a huge amount of oil in the pepperoni like water in a cup,it was very off putting causing me to only eat 1 and a bit out of 4 pizza slices which was a waste of money. When we were in the middle of eating our food, the fire alarm went off which wasnt a big deal at all but staff started shouting ‘fire alarm, fire alarm!’ which created a big commotion, but after it went off he just walked away leaving everyone confused,.Overall, a 2 the cappuccino was very nice and the flavour of the pizza was decent but nothing better than a frozen pizza from aldi. It won’t let me add pictures, but i can assure you they look worse than the ones below! ⚠️We both tried the brownie which...
Read moreThe cafe is inside the large Morrisons supermarket and HAS an Alcohol licence. As you enter the store via the main entrance and look up in front of you , you will see a sign indicating that the CAFE is to the left and the BARISTA bar to the right. Entryway and floor is all flat and level . So go left past the kiosk ,along the wide corridor and past the customer toilets. Cafe is on your left. Surprisingly the counter is quite a bit smaller than I expected but it works. That cafe itself has been refitted in the now familiar pastels style of Morrisons. Having placed my order I found the table I can get my chair under ,and it was next to a window offering a view of the car park and railway station! The service was quite fast and the food up to expectations. Having a look around the cafe I noticed that at the far end of the cafe a rather magnificent conservatory had been added on (glass panels and plenty of daylight). When I went to have a look I realised that there was also a double door leading out onto an enclosed patio area with outdoor chairs and tables. Wrong weather today!! I called at the Barista bar on my way out , and this is tucked away in the top right corner in an odd shaped space next to customer services. It’s a cosy corner for a cup of tea and...
Read moreJust been for lunch with my son. What a stressful experience. It took about 20 mins to order as the man serving had no idea on what he was doing. Then when I asked for a tea spoon for my cup of tea he rolled his eyes at me. Coming back with one in his hand. My sons lunch came our fairly prompt. Still waiting for mine 10 mins later I asked not really wanting to as the attitude of staff were not very inviting. He turned around and said I new you was going to ask that. I said well where is my lunch as I had hoped to eat at the same time as my son. He said they had had an accident and burnt it. And was making a new one. It would have been nice to have been kept up to date. When it was finally brought out another 10 mins later. I had to ask for cutlery which he walked back very slowly for. Returning holding them in his hands. Then when I looked they were filthy. I had to go back and ask for some clean ones which the lass behind the till wasn't very helpful.
The service was shocking but the food was lovely when it...
