Very nice little pub. What I love ❤️ about this place is the atmosphere. It still feels like a local right next to the canal. I've been here a few times over the years, and the quality is on an even keel 😃. There was a steady stream of visitors, outside and in, dining and drinking, lapping up a lovely summer sun. Always a warm welcome, a friendly smile and only to happy to accommodate meal request if they can. Yes! Will be dunking my beef baguette here again on my next trip out to Skipton. The only criticism are the recycle ♻️ food bins could do with being enclosed. sometimes get the odd whiff if sat around the side benches.

Popped in for a pint and early dinner. Wasn't overly busy, but with only one bar attended, it was pretty slow to get a pint, but after the wait the Timothy Taylor was well kept and held its head well. Again, it is a lengthy wait to order our food. We ordered from the specials board the lasagna and Thi green chicken curry that arrived relatively quickly and well presented and hot. If we had one criticism, the portions were overly large, but the food was tasty and good pub grub. Staff welcoming, helpful, and friendly.

On holiday in the surrounding area and came across this pub. We were the only couple in the bar which suited us fine. We ordered drinks. I ordered a large glass of red wine ..my husband a shandy. My glass was filthy with lots of finger marks on it and someone's lipstick mark. It looked like it hadn't been washed after a busy Saturday night! The barman gladly changed it but poured the wine into a clean glass. Germs were transferred!! My husband had Pork chop which was ok and I ordered Salmon with Hollandaise sauce. I cut into the Salmon and it was raw.the sauce was cold, like it just came out a jar. The barman was very pleasant and asked if the Salmon be cooked more. We had a parking time allocation so had no time to spare. I couldn't drink the wine or eat the Salmon! The Salmon was deducted from the bill so at least tried to sort it, but I'm sorry, just not enough good practice in these times of hygiene, being imperative. Would not...

We ended up at this pub on the recommendation of the landlady of the Yorkshire Rose, as they weren't doing food.

Wish we hadn't bothered, we ordered the food homemade steak and kidney pudding, sasuage and mash and a burger.

The pudding was microwaved and not that hot, rock hard suet on the bottom , the kidney over powered the steak and I really didn't enjoy it. The burger was of very poor quality, my daughter compared it to a fairground burger. The sausages were tasteless and not the best considering these were from a butchers in barnsoldwick, mash was lumpy and not much flavour. The frozen chips were the best bit! The prices they are charging for these meals are standard but the quality and taste is not upto a decent standard. Which is a shame, one thing I will say is the lady who served us with dark hair was...

Myself and 2 friends went for a Christmas Market roast dinner. We ordered 2 small and 1 large dinner, the price difference was £7 however when we received our food we couldn't tell which was the large meal. We asked the waiter which was the large meal he replied( I don't no I havnt cooked it) and walked away. Anouther member of staff came over and explained that you got 1 more slice of meat and 1 more roast potatoe. For £7 more my friend wasn't happy and got his money back. We then received a foul languaged comment from what i can only describe as the local clown who was sat at the bar. Everyone heard this but nothing was sead from the bar staff who just ignored it. This is...
