Nando's Darlington — Restaurant in England

AVOID AVOID AVOID Please, please read this review. It's long but a must read for safety. Went for dinner on a Sunday with my daughter. We were seated by a security guard & having never been to nandos before, I was expecting someone to come to the table to take our order. After about 10 minutes I finally clicked on that you're supposed to pop up to the till & order. There's meant to be a QR code at the table to order but they were completely faded out. When we asked for our food, a lot of items weren't available & machines weren't working. I required a refund for a drink I ordered after the staff member found out it wasn't available. This was just the beginning of the problems at this venue. I went into the toilets before our dinner came & found out there's no locks on the toilets. The floors were also absolutely swimming in water, at least I hope it was water. Afterwards, I went to wash my hands. The taps only have boiling hot water coming out with absolutely no warning anywhere to say the water was boiling hot. I'm just thankful I found this out first & not my daughter. Our food eventually arrived & it was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. We ordered dessert at the same time & asked for this to be brought out once meal was finished. Again, we were waiting for about 10 minutes for this. Went back up to the till to find out where they had gotten to. Member of staff had no idea we were expecting desserts but eventually said he will bring them over. Whilst at the till, I observed a member of the cooking team nearly fall over after slipping on the floor. Finally got our desserts served to us which were actually really nice, probably the only saving grace at this point. We got up to leave & the entire restaurant floor was covered with old bits of food. The place was just disgusting. Staff don't really seem to care at all. I didn't see a single person cleaning the place. There was an abundance of teenagers which is why I presume there's 2 security guards. Just don't go....

First time I didn’t enjoy Nando’s … There was many mistakes today and felt like a waste of money .. One thing to take away from this today is to never ever go to Nando’s 1 hour before closing time as you don’t get quality food .. So we came here around 21:10 today.. After we got seated we been told that basically neatly half the menu isn’t available only left with very minimal options from menu with only 2 sorts of chicken available.. I’m quite surprised the chef didn’t know the amount of stock they have to order for Monday .. Anyways .. The waitress was lovely , but the food was unfortunately very disappointing.. So the pitta I ordered supposed to have two pieces of chicken I had one big one only .. because the thickness of chicken it was quite tasteless, the pitta we ordered had a very small amount of salad shoved into the back overall it was just tasteless .. The pitta wasn’t toasted on grill a bit so it tasted very old, even my corn on cob wasn’t grilled at all I believe because there is no markings on it from the grill..

Well I can tell you never had my food in Nando’s served in 10 minutes so clearly they want bothered just wast to finish and go home . The chips was quite undercooked mashy.. So overall for over £40 two tasteless pitta plus some side and two drinks wasn’t good at all .. May leave Nando’s food for a...

What a shame! There aren't many places you can eat out at that cater for Coeliac disease correctly, but Nandos always does, fantastically! Unfortunately for this branch we will not be returning!! The service was appalling! Quiet afternoon, 7 staff working in the restaurant (which is great being fathers day, so expectant of a busy day) and only 7 tables occupied. We were shown to our table with no verbal communication what so ever from the waiter. We were left for 15 minutes until I had to approach someone to be told we order everything from the bar (would have been nice to have been told that on arrival). Served by the manager at the bar who said drinks would be brought to our table. 20 minutes later (not 1 member of staff in the restaurant to assist in any way at all for that whole time!) I had to approach the bar to ask for our drinks!! At the same time our food was placed on the table! Not a great fathers day experience. What a disappointment Darlington especially on this day when you should all be on full waiting alert. #customerservice...
