I Went into Nando's at 11.30am, early but i thought a bout of chicken would be a healthy option. We were seated very quickly, i even made a joke of sitting somewhere 'dark and alone' which my other half found amusing. The waiter seated us straight away (it was early so there was plenty of option).
Chose what to eat within 5 minutes and was ordered within a another 10. Took a little while for someone to come to the till, 2 or 3 minutes which was excessive given there was no one in. Then the wait began.... 45 minutes in total and i had ordered a salad, and another salad for my girlfriend. First off i had to chase for the food, to which they asked to see my receipt. At this point i was worried, another 5 minutes went by at this point i was getting slightly annoyed so i chased again. The food eventually came, ive seen more life in a wet paper bag to be honest. The food had been sat under the lamp for a while so what was supposed to be fresh crunchy lettuce was actually, what could only be described as 'lifeless' more crunch from a marshmallow. To top it off my partners food came as a side meal and not as a full meal.
To say I wasn't impressed is an understatement. By the time we had our food, the restaurant had filled up and my patience had worn thin. I didn't make a scene however i did ask for my money back, to which the manager kindly gave in. Overall I wasn't happy, i know Nando's is expensive anyway, but to get second rate service for a first rate price wasn't what i was expecting.

Read moreEdit - tried again and told there is a long wait for the chicken… during main dining hours. Then we said we’d wait and then the staff said they’re closing at 7:30pm… it was 7:25pm. Clearly very poor. Avoid at all cost! Food took an incredibly long time to arrive. Told 20 mins and it took 40 mins. FYI we were one of two groups in there. Food tasted great as always… when it finally arrived. However this followed the chef banking pots and pans. Then told to shush… as we were the only ones left in at this point. To top it all off the fire alarm went off, set off by smoke but told we’re ok to continue eating.
Returned 18th April and my word it didn’t get better. Found that 8 items were not available and then when we came to order we were told there wasn’t enough rice either. Seriously need to sort out their stock as they didn’t take responsibility and blame the delivery… isn’t it their responsibility to take stock of what items they have and ensure they do...

All of the staff were extremely polite and helpful but Kayleigh stood out from the the moment we stepped in the door. I have been to a few different Nandos restaurants before but none have even had the high level of customer care that Kayleigh provided on our visit.
