My wife and I along with our friend who's local to the area booked here for brunch on Sunday. It wasn't a great experience from the start. Firstly, the didn't have some dishes on the menu which is somewhat normal but then didn't have a lot of the drink selection and then got my friends drink order wrong (she wanted apple and elderflower and they gave her just elderflower). We ordered food and it took a while to come. At least 25 minutes but most likely more, we didn't look at the clock and when it came we had a mixed experience amongst the group. My wife and mine were fine, mine was lovely actually, the garden breakfast but my poor friend had a terrible time. She ordered the scrambled eggs which comes with wilted spinach but when it came it was just mixed in with a bag of salad leaves. It also didn't have any feta or pumpkin seeds. The poor waiter didn't really know what to do and ended up bringing it back with a very passively aggressive amount of seeds on top but that wasn't the main issue. The issue was it's not a very edible combination of warm scrambled eggs and a bunch of "bistro salad" leaves that hasn't cooked down and has a completely different taste and texture so just doesn't work. We were on a time restraint so my friend didn't have time to have a new...
Read moreWe booked a table for a Wednesday night on the 3 courses for £30 menu. I called up the day before to see which menu items could cater to a coeliac and they were extremely helpful in advising me and even amending a dish to my preferences. They also made a buckwheat tiramisu especially, which wasn’t on the menu so that I could enjoy a dessert as well. The food was incredible, flavours absolutely amazing and presented very beautifully - I work with many restaurants across the country as part of my job and this was right up there with the very best of them, even better that it’s just on our doorstep. Best meal I’ve had for a long time and easily rivalling starred restaurants but with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The chap who served us was professional but friendly and so helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. Already looking for the next date to come...
Read moreGreat new cafe on Cleethorpes seafront across the road from the beach. Only opened 2 weeks ago and very busy, bookings are definitely advised. Interesting, well pared menu that's really refreshing to see in Cleethorpes and makes us want to go back for more. Owned by a well experienced couple and barista who worked in Melbourne and really knows how to make great coffee. The salmon breakfast bagel was delicious, crunchy fresh bagel that I loved and great quality salmon and cream cheese. It was absolutely yummy. Great upbeat atmosphere, music and cool vibe. Recommended to me by lots of locals in the know who have been very impressed. Parking on street a bit painful as the area was very busy Saturday morning as expected but we got one after a few mins of searching side streets. Kid...
