So, I typed in ā€˜dog friendly cafes in Cleethorpes’ into google, and this place came up and the food looked lovely, I decided to ignore the negative reviews, and well, more fool me! Dog friendly? Not dog friendly, people friendly or staff friendly 🫣 Foods alright though. So if you want an alright jacket spud, made to feel like your an inconvenience, and being told to sort out your dog when you clearly already have it under control. Please visit.

Let me explain… on arrival we checked this place allowed dogs, they confirmed we do. We went in and sat down. The tables and the floors were not particularly clean, only 2 other tables in, and then who I can only presume was the delightful manager sat on one table telling the staff to ā€˜top up the stock’ no please or Thankyou.

I went up to order food, 3 jackets. The manager did come up to the counter and explained the girl serving was new so she was helping her. Whilst showing the girl how to write down x2 jackets with cheese x1 jacket cheese and beans no butter.

Drinks came over, and the young girl who semi served us, put the little milk bottle with milk near to the of the table, so unfortunately it got knocked off the edge with an elbow by one of us at the table. We profusely apologised, I picked up the pup out of the way of the glass, and my mum picked up a large part of the milk bottle, and the manager shouted ā€˜can you just leave the glass’ anyway, that was mum told, no manners, we had really inconvenienced her(it’s not like we did this purposely). She then said ā€˜do you want to move to another table instead so that we can clean up’. No problem. But again no manners, no ā€˜don’t worry about it’. We moved tables. Once we sat down, our food came over, and our pup had been laying on the floor quite happily, when food was placed on the table, he put his front paws on the edge of the sofa, myself and my dad both very quickly guided him away from this, and told our pup to get down. Well, whilst doing this, the manager, who we had already inconvenienced shouted over from the other side of the room ā€˜can you get your dog down’ I completely get that, absolutely, hygiene is very important. But when you can see we are ALREADY DEALING WITH IT. Why feel the need to put your two pence in, and WHY SHOUT FROM ACROSS THE ROOM. This can be very embarrassing. If you had used your manners, or come over to the table I wouldn’t have minded, but you was just rude.

The food was nice. Jacket spud, beans, cheese and a side salad. It is what you expect. Nearly Ā£8 for a jacket spud, not your cheapest, but your paying for a service.. lack of customer service skills though šŸ˜€ But the atmosphere however, is not nice. I felt on edge the entire time I was there, I couldn’t wait to leave that place.

I felt sorry for the ā€˜new girl’ as she was being spoke to like dirt, just clarify the other comments on here, I can only imagine your staff turn around. Employing young staff, so you talk to them like dirt on the bottom of shoe and get away with it? Lovely.

I’ve worked in hospitality my whole life, including owning my own tearoom, and must say I would have been mortified if anyone visiting received that kind of service. Treat your staff right and you will get hard work and respect back.

Back to the cafe itself. Perfect location. Has a gift shop inside. Grubby sofas, not very clean tables, floors need a deep clean/scrub.

Member of staff came in whilst we was there to speak with some guy, the woman/manager said well he’s busy can you come back at half five. Her attitude stunk. Again, no manner. How do you get through life, working in a customer facing job, with literally NO MANNERS. Baffles me. Anyway, the staff member left. Not very long after said guy walked in and she said that the member of staff had been, and he said it’s ready I told her to come back in 10 mins. Manager said well I’ve told her to come back at 5.30. If the manager could have spared two minutes of her time, and asked said guy who was upstairs about the payslip, she would he’s been informed that it was ready. She just...

Stumbled across this little place by pure chance. I had gone into the adjoining home furnishing boutique looking for some items for my new flat. I could hear a distance clattering of cutlery that pricked my curiosity, and as I wandered thru the boutique came across tables, and chairs. Lo and behold is a little coffee shop that I had no idea even existed. I was feeling peckish as I'd not had time for lunch. I spotted the menu on a table and was drawn in by the specials. I went back into the boutique to find my daughter who was still browsing the many beautiful items to ask if she fancied a coffee. Needless to say we didn't just stop for drinks. The lady went above and beyond to help me. I was pressed for time, and asked how quick they could make mine. She said 7 minutes. That's service for you. The daily specials are slightly dearer than other places but definitely value for money. I had the Colourful wrap with yoghurt dip. This was a beetroot wrap, with veggies, and sweet potato wedges. Beautifully presented, and tasted delicious. You could really tell that everything was fresh produce. And my daughter had a chicken and cheese panini with bbq sauce. She said that it was properly filled with chicken. The drinks were piping hot just how I like them. I would recommend this place without hesitation, and look forward...

Had a farther and daughter evening tonight and I don't normally leave reviews but after tonight I'm going to start. I rang the helm this evening and asked if they could book us in they did inform me that they was fully booked but they had a chat with another member of staff and managed to get us in. Wow well I told my daughter and she was so excited we ended being the first ones there. From entering the establishment the staff was sooo welcoming and friendly. As soon as I walked in off my daughter went with one of the staff members lol talk about welcoming my daughter felt so comfortable. The came over and took our food order and gave my daughter a colouring and letter to give Santa. They played games and even the elf came over and did some colouring with my Ruby. The Santa story time was fantastic and the gift wow I expected a selection box but a beautiful teddy my daughter received. The food was at great standers and the place is definitely family friendly all I can say is thank you so much for making my daughters...

Stopped into this lovely cafe after a long walk on the beach. We had some nice coffee, really good luxury hot chocolate and some amazingly fresh soft (warmed up!) scones. All the staff were really nice and friendly. Plenty of tables, dog friendly, and a clean toilet. (We went on Saturday and enjoyed the scones so much we went back for more on Sunday!)

First time popping in here. Though I didn't take any photos so as to not disturb other diners, the decor and the general atmosphere is really nice. I enjoyed the rustic feel of the place. The food is really nice especially for the price. A good place to hide away from the rain and have a hot drink. Will be visiting again.
