Parlormade Scone House — Restaurant in England

Went to check them out after reading good reviews, but unfortunately we didn't even get to try what they're famous for, since we got the wrong scones order to our table. Managed to speak with our server about it, who said sorry and that was going to put our correct order under priority and it shouldn't take long. This was already around half an hour of us seated and unfortunately after another good 10 minutes, our drinks were finished, I ended up also finishing the cake and we just gave up on the scones. Staff was kind enough to give us 20% off the bill on our coffees and the cake which was very appreciated, but we still left disappointment for not getting to...

The cherry and lime scone was amazing, the coffee had an old taste to it and the service was absolutely appalling. Someone in my group ordered a plain scone and so did someone sitting in a table next to us (arrived way after my group). While taking the other table’s order they assured them they would save them a plain scone. 10 minutes after we originally ordered one of the waitresses came to tell us it had sold out of the plain scones, while the other table still had a saved one. I choose the Blueberry and lemon scone with butter and the Parlormade Luxurious hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. It was absolutely delicious.

I'm not a scone person, but this experience has definitely made me a scone person now. So I'm definitely coming back to this place again when I come back to visit York.

So I'm absolutely recommending this place for the people who haven't been here before before.
