Would have rated it a zero if I could. When I went in to book the table the reservation page was covered in kids drawings and the owner or manger or whoever it was didn’t seem too pleased about it. After that the way he was looking at me as I reserved the table in person looked like he thought I couldn’t pay for the meal. Which is clearly just rude. Ended up speaking down to me on the phone, not to me. Was travelling to Tintagel and the castle and watched the sunset and was literally around the corner. I admit I was 5 mins late for my booking when I rang up to say I’ll be there in 4 minutes. However, there is a way to talk to people. He was very ill mannered. Having ran pubs myself and being in this industry for 15 years it seems like a very unprofessional place with just a rude owner with zero bookings. They said they don’t even have a set shut time. Which proves that it’s a quiet restaurant compared to the rest of Tintagel and must shut due to the lack of customers. Makes sense really. Just said I’m not going to bother coming to the restaurant at all in the end and found another better Italian...
Read moreI have never had such a bad experience in my entire life. Me and my wife were very hungry as we had a very long journey. Anyway we went in to this place and we could smell something not right but we thought maybe from Gorgonzola. The guy got the menus and I’ve noticed a strong smell and I started looking around worried. The waiter and I think he was the shef too, had dirty clothes but still couldn’t believe that strong smell was coming from him. However he came to get the order and the smell was as strong as a homeless person (I mean 6 month no shower). I was so close of being sick right there, I asked him for a “minestrone” clearly it wasn’t in the menu and thanks god I managed to escape andI was sick in the corner…. Guys think twice before eating in...
Read moreWe loved everything about this restaurant, so much so that we returned the next evening! Chris, the co-owner, gave us a warm welcome. The vibe was great, the decor interesting, with local art adorning the walls for sale, and the laid back music was definitely to our taste. We ate deliciously fresh prawns, followed by some interesting pasta dishes. Portions were very generous so we were forced to share the divine chocolate and orange tart. All washed down with a beautifully chilled bottle of Pinot Grigio. The next evening we just had freshly made pizzas which had a tomato and mozzarella base and a wide selection of toppings to choose from. They were mouth watering. Thank you Chris - we wish you and...
