Ordered food for the family this evening and after being told there will be a 30 minute I reluctantly ordered and decided to wait. The kid that was taking my order was coughing all over the place saying he wasn’t too well (surely this isn’t the place for you to spread your germs especially over my food). This next stage gets even more interesting, they took my order, full family platter, 2 kids burger meals and 8 nuggets (total £39.93)and after placing the order and before payment I decided to change the platter to half lemon and lime and the other half to hot, ok no problem and after repeating my order 3 times I paid and waited for it to be cooked. After 10 mins of waiting I am approached by a staff member asking me to pay 0.50p for another bag for the mango & lime chicken to be put in as I wasn’t charged and apparently it was my fault as I changed the ordered which was right but at this point I hadn’t paid and it could have easily been put on and I would have happily paid so I refused as this charge should have been put on when the order was taken. Then being told that his staff are on minimum wage so I have to pay the 0.50p charge is a JOKE. After getting fed up arguing over 0.50p I decided it will be easier just to cancel my order and get a refund and il take my business elsewhere which he was happy to do even through the fault was on their side. VERY RUDE AND NO CARE GIVEN ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! SHAMBLES OF A...
Read moreWe have been regular customers at Pepe’s in Aylesbury for the past 3 years, but unfortunately our recent experience has left us very disappointed.
Last week, my friend bought chicken from Pepe’s for a house party. While eating, we noticed that the chicken was not properly cooked – in fact, some pieces were still raw inside. Concerned for food safety, we called the restaurant immediately. We didn’t ask for a refund or anything else – we simply wanted to let them know so that it wouldn’t happen again, either to us or to other customers.
However, instead of listening and taking our feedback seriously, the staff member we spoke to was extremely rude. When I told him that this was not the right way to speak to customers, his response shocked me even more – he said that if I left an online review, he would just “delete it.”
This is unacceptable. Not only was the food unsafe, but the way we were spoken to was very unprofessional and disrespectful.
I sincerely request the management of Pepe’s Aylesbury to review how staff are trained to handle customer feedback. When food is not cooked properly, the correct response is to apologize and address the issue, not to argue or dismiss the customer.
We are very disappointed and hope this kind of experience does not happen to...
Read moreI’ve been ordering from Pepe’s Aylesbury for years, always using the app for either collection or delivery, but what happened today left me shocked and in tears.
I placed an order through the app for collection at 18:25. I arrived at 18:30, only to be told my food had already been picked up. I explained that I was here to collect it myself and that there must be a mistake. Instead of helping, the manager/owner rushed over and accused me of possibly sharing my order details with someone else who had already picked it up or that my email had been hacked! Not once did he consider a staff or app error.
He was rude, raised his voice throughout, and made me feel like I was lying. I tried to explain that I didn't and that I came straight from the park with my kids to pick up their dinner. His response? He’d “give me the food this time” but next time, I should “call the police.” I was stunned!! There was no app notification saying the order had been picked up, and instead of being helped or listened to, I was accused and embarrassed in front of others.
This is not how you treat a loyal customer, especially not someone already going through a hard time after just losing their father. Today was one of the few times I made the effort to go out, and I was treated...
