My wife and I Had a lovely afternoon In Dorchester on Friday. Made even more special by the lovely customer service we received when we visited Poppins Restaurant. Everyone was lovely. Food was great we went with a jacket potato for lunch followed by a slice of lemon meringue pie. We have now visited 16 of the Poppins restaurants out of the 34. And this is the best yet. Xx

We ate here today and I wondered why the people from the three tables, that sat after us, were already eating their what looked like the same order as we had (full English).

I had to check and the waitress forgot to give our orders to the kitchen. Fine, we had to wait another 10 minutes and gave us complimentary cups of tea. But when the food arrived, it was wrong. My partner didn't enjoy his food because he hate beans so much that he couldn't eat any of it that had been touched by beans and beans sauce. He chose not to say anything because he didn't want to wait again. Hopefully, next time, they get it right for him. That is if he still come back with me there. Now we wish The Gorge Cafe is back soon.

If I'd have to mention anything it would be the obvious lower quality of the sausages. Other than that this place is: Very clean and tidy. Cooking area and toilets are spotless too. Friendly staff, owner very down to earth and easy to talk to. Value, not too sure what exactly is value for money these days as everything's gone up in price a lot so I guess that needs to reflect it. Family friendly and putting up with my noisy 3 year old is a great effort from them.

Overall this place is really good. I'm still very impressed with the cleanliness in there.

Walked in as an easy result to resolve hunger after being sat in the cinema, all five of us sat down ordered up took around 10 minutes for the food to arrive which isn’t bad at all just the food. The food was HORRIBLE, way too over priced for the portion sizes, myself ordered the scampi and chips, the chips were fries and the scampi was anemic, shocking!!! If you wish to have a good day please I beg do not go here!!
