Owner let me book 2 weeks ago for partners 40th surprise birthday. Had people drive from all over including Liverpool. Turned up to booking to find restaurant closed with a note about finding a new chef and reopening late May!!! He hadn’t told me and allowed me to book, knowing it was a surprise birthday celebration. As review above says (and several on trip advisor) I’d avoid. How disappointing, and the birthday was completely ruined. Despite emailing the Owner and writing this review, absolutely no apology given.

Great food, steak was cook perfect and a good all round portion. Staff were very attentive and didn’t have to wait long for the food once ordered. The bill came and what I liked there was no gratuity added on and I could pay card or cash unlike some places. Will be back again for sure. Keep up the great work.

We went as a special birthday meal but had to leave, and other customers at other tables left too. First issue, we weren't asked if any of us had any allergens to be aware of (fortunately we didn't, but asking is standard practice these days). The starters were cold and took 45 mins to arrive. The nachos were soggy and had clearly been microwaved not oven cooked. The hummus was supposed to come with pitta bread, but came with granary bread from a basic loaf. We hoped that the mains would shortly follow, but after a further 50 minutes spent waiting, we decided to leave. There were 2 other tables with customers, and both had to send their food back as it was cold and inedible. That should have been a red flag in itself considering it was mostly empty on a Friday night. The lady at the table next to us had a steak which was completely cold, and another couple sent their food back too as the steak was full of water and the chips were cold. Not wanting to risk food poisoning with food not cooked properly, we decided to leave, as did the other customers. It's such a shame as we've eaten there a few months ago and the food was lovely. We chose the restaurant as we hoped it would be the same, but were sadly disappointed. Considering it was a special occasion, the evening was ruined. We certainly won't ever be returning, and would strongly consider others to think twice before making the same...

We for a meal with some friends on 28/09. Two of us had steak, one a chicken burger and one the halloumi burger

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The steaks personally did not reflect the price. They were very chewy and were not well seasoned before cooking. Clearly frozen chips and the sauce was not made fresh and again I believe were frozen and reheated.

The chicken burger was good but the halloumi burger again was not very good quality. The halloumi was not well cooked.

The service was just amazing couldn’t not fault them. Very friendly staff and nice selection of drinks. We were informed of the specials and asked...

Fab first night trying this tonight, I went with my mum and we loved it. Mum had a ribeye and I had a sirloin, both were cooked really well and too our liking, fries were fab, as were the juicy cooked tomatoes. I then had a crumble for pud which was pleasant with lovely thick custard! We shall definitely be coming back and I look forward to trying their lunch menu, as well as the calamari and sweet potato fries! That would be my only small comment actually- the sweet potato fries and calamari weren’t on the menu and I’d have had them if I knew they were available, but that’s a really small thing and it had no bearing on the evening at all- see you...
