Showed up around 5pm with my husband. The restaurant was completely empty. We were told that we could have the table for 30min, which we were fine with, but then we tried to sit at a different table since the table we were given was pretty much in the way of the door where people come in and out, but the man said we couldn’t sit there since it was reserved… which fair enough, if it was a full restaurant , but we were going to be out in 20 minutes since that’s all the time he gave us in the first place… there was no music playing either which made it a bit eerie. An empty restaurant, with rude staff who clearly didn’t want us to be there and we would have rather him tell us he was fully booked for the night instead of allowing us to stay, but treat us poorly and sit in a cold and unwelcoming environment for 10 minutes before leaving and wishing we never went.

Upon arrival he hasn't finished making the pizzas (food is supposed to be ready when we arrive, we're not paid to stand around but by delivery), then he gets them out the oven, puts them in the boxes, gets me to come over and says "look at these pizzas, they look great right", I agree, then he says "Well, you are a cyclist so they will not when they reach the customer, and if that happens Deliveroo will pay not me!". I reassure him I will keep the pizzas horizontal.
Even though I reassured the restaurant owner I'd keep the pizzas horizontal, he called the customer and said he "didn't like the way I was handling his food", so at the customers place I opened the thermal bag, steam billowed out because it was still piping hot, then I passed him the pizza boxes to inspect them and they looked fantastic. Read moreI ate there 30 minutes ago. The guy that runs it (and the place itself) is more Italian than Silvio Berlusconi driving a Ferrari to a bunga bunga party. The pizza is quite fantastic, in the Napoli style. Quality ingredients that speak louder than huge portions and crazy combinations. I’m a life long pizza fan and only here for 1 day on business. Last time I had pizza of this quality I was in Rome (it’s not the same style pizza, but the ingredient quality, the love and frankly, the prices are on par). Don’t sleep on this, I can’t believe the prices will stay so good for long - and honestly why should they.
