Slix Burger — Restaurant in England

After several recommendations I decided to try Slix. Upon entry, I was met with modern and classy decor and several smiling faces from behind the counter. I was seated comfortably and I immediately noted the cleanliness was of a high standard. My order was taken by the staff member who took his time to discuss different choices with me and was very welcoming. Whilst waiting for the food we were given complimentary bottles of water which I found to be a very polite gesture of service, one that was a further credit to the interpersonal skills of the staff. They were all very polite, respectful and warming. The burger I chose was the 2 x 4 OZ with messy fries, pictures attached. It was elegantly served with an additional pot of sauce which completed the look! The burger was an ebullition of meat! The fries were messy, as the name suggests, and very tasty, one of the recommended side dishes!

Not only was the food enjoyable, but the hospitality was inviting for me to return again soon.

I had the chicken burger. I was impressed with the idea to combine a chicken patty with a fried chicken patty and I thought it worked. The fries were excessively salty and the seasoning did not have much flavour unfortunately. Overall I did like it and would come back.

2: I tried the let's meat up for my second visit. I wasn't so hungry but regardless I wasn't massively impressed. It's a decent standard beef burger (with according to the menu a smash patty and a gourmet patty) and the sauce inside was good though there wasn't enough of it. The portion was decent.

3: I tried the Philly you up and the chicken bites. The chicken bites were actually really good, nice and crispy, 6 of them and well seasoned but they weren't tossed in a sauce like the menu says, they just give a sauce on the side. Really disappointed overall. Food was really expensive, bad quality and did not taste good at all. We paid £40 for two burgers and chip meals, mac n cheese and two shakes. The burgers said they came with lettuce, pickles, cheese etc and we added an extra topping of hash brown, burger came with only the hash brown, none of the standard advertised included ingredients. Shake tasted awful, like chemicals not premium gelato at all. Partner had to send his strawberry shake back because they added chocolate sauce all over the inside of the cup without asking and he's allergic. Mac and cheese was like literal plastic, no seasoning at all and cold. Just awful all round, service wasn't friendly or helpful either.
