The worst hospitality I have every encountered at a restaurant. I am glad to see that looking at prevous reviews, my Mum wasn't the only person who was a victim of the rude man at the reception.
My mum had asked several perfectly reasonable questions, to only be met with rude and sarcastic digs and responses. It involved you saying that she needs to 'sit down' if she would like to see the menu and prices for dining in the restaurant. And asking about the parking, your reply was - I am not a traffic warden. You should be ashamed about the way you treated and disrespected my mum at your restaurant - do you not have any manners or basic ettiquete? Treat your customers how you expect to be treated yourself!
It gives me great comfort to know that your reviews are shocking as you deserve it to be and also the fact that when my mum visited, you had no customers dining in your restaurant, yet the other restaurants on the road were thriving - rather telling don't you think?
Sort out your attitude and definetley your interior decor and maybe you might have better luck with getting more people into your restaurant.
AVOID this place at all costs - there are much better indian restaurants on the same road. Don't let this man at this restaurant ruin your evening as he did with ours
I would give 0 stars if it...
Read moreI booked a table for two people for Saturday 19:30. We arrived promptly as we normally do. The waiter on reception took our order straight away. He gave us our poppadoms after a reasonable wait.
The restaurant was extremely busy and noisy all evening with takeaway orders being requested or collected!!
Customers jostling around us continuously! We were the only seated customers for the majority of our meal.
We were made to feel that we were put to the back of the queue due to the volume of takeaway collections etc.
When l asked about our main dishes, we were hurriedly offered further poppadoms as we felt to appease us which we waved away and asked again for our main courses!
Mine was tandoori mixed grill which was extremely overcooked and dry and to my mind completely inedible. My fiancé's meal was actually burnt!
I spoke with the only member of staff, (front of house) and asked for a refund which was given very reluctantly but it was only £15 which wasn't even a third of our bill.
The irony of this disastrous meal was that a lady we were chatting to earlier in the evening advised us NOT to touch this 'restaurant' with a barge pole!
An awful, awful 'never to be...
Read moreHighly highly disappointed. Visited for dinner; a chapatti is almost 4 GBP. Was told it’s good for two people.. any bread ordered is good for two people. So 4 of us ordered one chapatti and one Garlic Naan, some aloo gobi, daal and chicken bhuna. What can I say.. one chapatti was only good for one.. one naan was not even sufficient for one and we are light eaters! The aloo gobi and the bhuna tasted same. Now cause the chapatti and naan we ordered wont be enough we ordered one more of each. The guy serving us said he needed to check if thats possible. It was just after 8 pm. The order came and we were still a bit unfulfilled. Asked for one more chapatti and again got to hear he needs to ask the chef! I thought maybe the kitchen is closed; but he said verbatim: he needs to check as its difficult to make chapattis!! I did not even know how to react to that really..The food didn’t taste very nice; quite expensive, the service felt forced.. I have never felt more awkward ordering food in a restaurant in my life; guess it’s one of the firsts.. and suffice to say we will never be returning here. I am hungry still and a packet of Doritos will satisfy me more...
