The Donald McGill Museum — Attraction in Ryde

I hate writing negative reviews but I'm pretty annoyed.

We were staying on IOW for a couple of days over Christmas and thought we'd visit the museum. Knowing things on the IOW often close for the winter we checked the hours on Google My Business and it said they were open. We also phoned to double check and the answer machine on Thursday 28 December happily declared they were open until 4pm.

We drove to Ryde to find not only was the Museum shut but it is shut until February. I appreciate it is run by volunteers but surely someone is tech savvy enough to record a new phone message even if they don't have access to their...

Very informative and tells all the history of the island especially Ryde , take time to speak to the old guys who help their , the stories and knowledge they have is genuinely amazing , nice people. Loved it could of talked to them...

Fantastic museum, postcards, social history of the island, lots to see. Volunteers running it were very helpful and interesting to talk to. Well worth £4.00 entrance. We spent an hour there and could have easily...
