Visited with my Husband, Son and 2 autistic children on Saturday 11th May. Had a chat with the staff on exiting, lovely people, and a must visit whilst holidaying on the Isle of Wight.
As bizarre as it may sound, the National Poo Museum is an utterly unique and surprisingly educational experience. Located on the Isle of Wight, this museum delves into the world of excrement in a way that is both informative and entertaining.
Upon entering the museum, visitors are greeted by a diverse array of exhibits showcasing feces from various animals, including humans. From the mammoth dung of herbivores to the tiny droppings of insects, the collection spans the spectrum of the animal kingdom. Each display is accompanied by detailed information about the species, their diet, and the importance of their waste in the ecosystem.
What sets the National Poo Museum apart is its ability to present a taboo subject in a manner that is both tasteful and engaging. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the exhibits, learning about the different textures, colors, and smells of various types of feces. Interactive displays and hands-on activities make learning about waste management, digestion, and the role of feces in the environment both fun and memorable.
Beyond its educational value, the museum also prompts reflection on human attitudes towards waste and the natural world. It challenges visitors to reconsider their perceptions of something often considered taboo and highlights the importance of understanding and appreciating the natural processes that sustain life on Earth.
The National Poo Museum is a must-visit attraction for anyone with a curious mind and a sense of humor. Whether you're a biology enthusiast, a parent looking for an unconventional educational experience for your children, or simply someone seeking something out of the ordinary, this museum offers an unforgettable journey into the world of excrement. It's an experience that will leave you both enlightened and amused, and one that you'll likely remember long after you've left the...

I'm not going to say too much about the Poo Museum, I don't want to spoil it for you but....... Everything you need to know about Poo can be found here. It's a small place packed with information set in an old public toilet. Don't let this put you off though, the place is spotless and filled with lots of information and interaction and great for all ages. A public toilet is also available should you be caught short or even if you need a Poo, and in my honest opinion, it's worth a fiver just to use that. The owners have really put some thought into this place, It's a credit to them and I take my hat off to all of you. Well done all involved. It's a 10 from me. We...

WATCHING THIS SHOULD BE ON EVERYONES BUCKET LIST. Who did the animation for this?? Should be shown in every biology class, not to mention The South Bank Centre, London. I can't wait to return to the Isle of Wight. Will definitely be visiting the Poo Museum again when we do. One...
