Angel Steakhouse — Restaurant in Newport

We saw the five star reviews online for this restaurant and we thought it looked amazing. Our family ordered a takeaway tonight online at 6pm. We ordered £98 worth of food: 2 kids chicken nuggets and chips, a halloumi burger, 2 pulled pork fries, 2 highwayman burgers, pork ribs, and churros. It was expected to be arriving at 7:25pm. It arrived at 8:30pm When it arrived, our burgers were soggy and fell apart completely. The kids chicken nuggets were chewy and processed. The churros were okay but freezing cold. The fries were soggy and uncooked. The ribs were cold, dry and tasteless. The nicest part of the meal was the kids fruit shoots. After waiting for 2 and a half hours after ordering, to tuck into our food to this was appalling. The annoying this about this is that we ordered through Just Eat, so we can’t even receive any type of refund. Might aswell have put £100 down the drain. Please learn from our lesson and 1. Do not waste your money or time ordering from here. 2. Do not order from here on Just Eat as it will be a 2.30 waiting time and disappointment. If we’d have known our dinner would be like this we would have spent half the price from the local chinese....

Went for a meal with my partner after a day at Carisbrooke Castle as it was within walking distance. Absolutely adored the food. Burgers were INCREDIBLE. Very fast and friendly service at the upward end of reasonable prices. We bought the unlimited soda and didn't have to ask for refills as they were very attentive at asking if we wanted a top up.

The menus were falling apart a little bit, and the table was a little sticky, but it's not worth downgrading to 4 stars when it didn't negatively affect our lovely experience.

Absolutely Exquisite, first time I've ever gone there; as only just moved into the area. The burger was phenomenal, cooked to perfection. Bacon was crisp and full of flavour, even the side salad was bloody lovely and I'm not a salad guy whatsoever dressing on it was delicious. Popcorn chicken cooked just right and full of flavour. Portion of chips was the right portion size which you don't see often nowadays! Staff were lovely in there and very welcoming, music was subtle and not modern music which was ideal for me. Will definitely be coming...
