Staff very friendly & helpful, food was poor.

As someone who travels a lot to eat a variety of foods & based in London area, I have to say the food & quality was poor at this place here on the Isle of Wight.

I came here subjected to the good reviews seen on trip advisor & Google.

I ordered the calamari starters & they came out in little battered onion ring sized form & were not as tasty compared to many other restaurants I have been too. They were over ÂŁ7.00. Would not recommend. For mains I ordered what was recommended to me which was one of the main Mediterranean dishes & I was quite disappointed. I cannot remember the unique name of this dish. The portion size was not as filling as expected & the quality & taste was average. That was just over ÂŁ15.00 Ps there was 6 of us at a table & we had to wait at least another minute for one of us to get their pizza whilst all our other food was getting slightly cold, not that this was a major problem, just to mention.

I then went for a desert which was the Turkish baclava with ice cream for around ÂŁ5.95 & honestly it looked like the chef had just put two pieces of pre bought baclava which I could get from the Turkish market in London with a blob of ice cream in the middle & sprinkled it with some green dressing. I noticed all these little things because I love my food & I know what quality & prices there are.

At the end of the meal the kind waiter did ask us how the meal was & I did say it was good in the moment although I’d wish I’d of given the constructive criticism to aid.

Overall I was not justified with the quality of food,I know I have seen meany good & excellent reviews. Atmosphere was great & staff very friendly & welcoming but the food was certainly not up to expectations for the price you pay for. I’m saying this as a foodie who values food...

Booked here for a family birthday celebration which I casually mentioned when booking. Unfortunately 3 of our party couldn’t make it last minute but only gave them 30 minutes notice of this. They were so obliging even at this short notice as they were throughout from booking several weeks before upto the day itself. We arrived just before our booked time and were immediately greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our tables which they had decorated with birthday banners etc. ( I didn’t request this) which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The waiter asked on the quiet whose birthday it was so I pointed them out. The service, food , ambience was all 1st class and I can’t praise them all enough for making it a fabulous evening. When some of us had ordered dessert they brought out a little pudding with a candle on and all the staff present and sang happy birthday along with the whole restaurant. Thank you ada and all your team. A fantastic experience which will stay with us all. Very highly...

So good we’ve been here twice in a 4 day break! We are a family of 4 including a very fussy eater. Arrived on Monday to find very few open restaurants and took a chance here as walk-ins, and we’re very glad we did. I had the burger, which was delicious. One daughter had the salmon pasta and was impressed (bearing in mind my father-in-law is Sicilian and she’s grown up with great pasta). My other daughter is a fussy eater and had the sirloin steak. Being a fussy eater, steak is her go-to and we’ve been to a lot of top-end steak restaurants in Europe and the US; she knows what she’s talking about - and she said it was the best steak she’s had for a long time. My wife had the lamb shank, which was huge, and was the only one to try something new on the second night when she had the Mousaka which was also really nice. All-in, this restaurant was a fantastic surprise and no one wanted me to write this review in case the prices go up and we can’t get a table next time we return...

If I could do a 50 star rating, I absolutely would... I can't rate ADA highly enough... The service and the food is honestly next level. The highest possible tier. I mentioned when I made the booking we had a few birthdays in the group, and we arrived to birthday banners. They also bought birthday cakes out for us and the whole restaurant ended up singing. The staff posed for pics wearing birthday hats and there wasn't anything they wouldn't do to make our visit memerable. The staff honestly couldn't do enough for us. Unlimited hot and cold Mezze for 19.95 on a Wednesday... We left absolutely stuffed!! Clearly made with fresh good quality ingredients. I'd personally recommend the hummus, the tzatziki, the borek, the lamb kofte and... Well... Basically everything. There isn't one thing they served that I didn't like. Can not recommend enough. Best restaurant on the island, and in my personal opinion.... One of the best I've been to in my life!!

Ate here as a solo diner, the food was just ok. This is also possibly due to having eaten at another restaurant which was bloody brilliant only the night before. Starters had the prawns in the tomato sauce - not many prawns and the sauce needed more spice/flavour. Main had the chicken in mushroom sauce with salad and chips - salad with this main is an odd choice as it’s a hot dish with sauce - although the salad and dressing were nice I wouldn’t put them together in this dish and if it has to be served with salad for that to be served on the side to avoid wilted salad. Chicken and mushroom was nice and it is a good portion. Staff were not that attentive, it wasn’t too busy with two staff working - one I presume to be the manager. I don’t know if I would return. The smaller starter plates did look lovely on other tables who had ordered.

Great atmosphere when you walk in - a busy restaurant with everyone talking to eachother is always a good sign! We did the Wednesday Meze night. The manager came straight over and introduced himself and bought us over a bottle of house red - which was delicious. The waiters then bought out all different little bowls of foods every five minutes or so. I loved the idea of having no menu and just being bought dishes, as I always have trouble choosing what to get! The food was lovely but I wish there were more actual cooked dishes rather than fried nibbles - but that’s just my personal taste! A great restaurant, lovely chatty staff and good prices.
