WITHOUT DOUBT BEST RESTAURANT & BEST MANAGEMENT AND TEAM AND LOVELIEST FOOD CURRENTLY IN CENTRAL BOURNEMOUTH BY FAR We visited Cote Brasserie in WESTOVER ROAD BOURNEMOUTH this past week, to celebrate would you believe my 78th birthday! I had much to give thanks for having precisely 9 years earlier to the day, {again my then 69th birthday!} been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given 6 months to live, yet here I was celebrating 9 years of life that I never thought I would see, with my sassy beautiful half Swedish wife Sue. Having been privileged to eat across many years some of the UK`s best restaurants, Cote Brassiere in BOURNEMOUTH excels, AND SOME! Exceptional food, great chef that day who was charming, and top management. It really is not fair to mention anyone in particular there but I will, as the ENTIRE TEAM, + THE 2 MANAGERS who we met on Tuesday morning 29th November, were absolutely all outstanding and a total credit to the high standards Cote Brassiere try to achieve every day. However, ONE GIAN FRANCO who looked after us entirely for our two-hour lunch time visit was simply incredible. Throughout our stay, we were superbly looked after by GIAN and supporting team. Gian was simply charming and went way above the norm, out front, and he most certainly made a celebration day and lunch on the exceptional. His people skills are a great asset to the company and he should be congratulated. Both the front of house managers also were exceptional. As for our two courses each chosen off the al a carte menu both were exceptional. The atmosphere and cleanliness at this establishment are appealing and warming as a patron whilst eating there.

AT COTE BRASSIERE MANAGEMENT LEVEL, you should be aware that BOURNEMOUTH with its entire EXCEPTIONAL TEAM, are way out in front! They ALL SHOULD BE CONGRATULATED. FINALLY, we might also mention we often visit the SALISBURY BRANCH TOO, AND also DORCHESTER BRANCH WHEN VISITING THAT AREA & WE HAVE ALREADY LEFT STUNNING FEEDBACK LAST YEAR FOR SALISBURY AND ALEX AND HIS TEAM TOO, AND ZAC IN DORCHESTER TOO. SO THOSE TWO EATERIES IN ADDITION TO BOURNEMOUTH, WERE WE LIVE ARE ALSO A TOTAL CREDIT TO THE COTE BRASSIERE BRAND; Will see all three teams again soon meantime a HUGE THANK YOU AND WELL-DONE to you all Dave & Sue Burningham...

We have eaten in Cote in Bournemouth and always enjoyed it with good food and service however this can not be said about our last visit, It was my birthday. We have been many times before for special occasions and had decorations on the table and been given a glass of something cold and fizzy on arrival,This visit, nothing ,although it was stated on the booking that we were celebrating a birthday. We did eventually get given a drink after we asked for one and the manager was consulted, which took ages The service was extremely slow even for us when we are never in a rush but felt forgotten on this occasion. The starters were fine ,although we have had better in there ,but the main courses really were not up to standard. My husband ordered Beef Bourguignon which came looking extremely dry so he sent it back and asked for more sauce. When it eventually came back the potato was cold and he sent it back again. This took so long my son and I had nearly finished so my husband declined trying again and ended up with no main course. My sons sauce on his chicken was split and there didn't appear to be any bacon at all and my fish was ok but not really hot and not as nice as when I have eaten in Cote before. All the food had obviously been sitting far too long under heated lamps and was not up to standard. There didn't seem to be any organisation at all although one man did appear to be trying to get the correct food to the tables. We would normally have stayed for desserts and cocktails but left to go to The Botanist instead after being so disappointed with our experience in Cote on this occasion and it has left me unsure that I ever want to return when there are places in Bournemouth providing both better food and service than we...

We have been to several Côte branches and chose this one due to being on holiday in the area and celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary (with our 2 children!). Staff were very friendly and attentive. We were impressed by the ‘kids eat free’ summer offer (although did have to highlight this to our waitress as the final bill hadn’t included this offer, so she had to re-do it). Perhaps staff need to be more aware of current seasonal offers? The main downfall of our visit were the small portions for the price. Eating out seems like a luxury in the current climate, so it’s not something we do often. When we do, we expect to be really impressed with our meals. Sadly, my husband chose the chicken and bacon, which when arrived only had a bacon flavour ‘sauce/soup’ underneath a very small, flattened chicken breast. This was served with frites on the side but no vegetable. The initial look of this dish was very disappointing and not filling at all- luckily my youngest son barely ate his main (said the chips were too salty- which I was surprised as they were) so my husband polished off his kids’ meal too! When I booked online I had the option to add an occasion, so I selected ‘anniversary’. Not sure what I expected as it didn’t say, but the anniversary wasn’t acknowledged on the evening, so a bit pointless asking. Overall, we left feeling like we’d spent a lot of money for what were tasty but underwhelming and small meals, considering Côte is a higher-end chain restaurant. I’m a very keen cook and therefore sadly felt I could have recreated the meals at home for a fraction of the price and with larger portions. This is not necessarily the fault of the Bournemouth branch, more the...

Because I love this restaurant, I visit it in any city I visit and find it there. I reserved a table before arriving at the restaurant, but I was surprised by a cold reception and bad treatment from Mr. Marek. He frowned and gave me sharp, strange looks that I'd never experienced before. Has my restaurant ever burdened me with my presence at a restaurant, and even for a fee? The restaurant refused to let me in because it was not clean. I told him I could wait until the tables were cleaned. He replied, "This is a big problem. Is eating at a restaurant a big problem?!" I found a clean, ready table and told him I had sat at it. Then he asked me if I had any allergies. I told him yes, as I have a medical report of a severe allergy to pork and its derivatives. He replied, "I don't ask about your opinions... and who even talked about beliefs...!!!!! He is a racist and rude person. I wonder how such people can work for a high-class employee like Cot..!!" I asked him not to talk to me and to bring another employee to complete my orders through him. The employee, Bethany, came with the utmost elegance in dealing with me, as is usual at Cot International Restaurants. She brought me the salad dressing, but it didn't end as written in the attachment. I informed her, and she in turn informed the branch manager, Mr. Martin, who apologized and informed me that he would remove it from Cot Restaurants with all elegance. The department responsible for managing the restaurant will transfer this employee from this branch, as I vary it on a weekly basis. If he is present, I will cancel this idea and visit this branch on a work basis.

On a bank holiday Monday, we just walked into this restaurant and was greeted straight away, I told the waitresses that we do not have a booking, so is it possible to squeeze in…. Erm 16 people 🤣 ermmm actually… a table of 6 & 4 & 6 To break it down making it easier 🤣 They said on separate tables YES if we leave in 90 mins as they already had bookings…. We were all hungry and excited to eat anyways…:: They sat us down, in tables of 6 & 6 & 2 & 2 …. Then my other group of friends came (12people) pleassssse can we squeeze them in too??? At first they said table of 6 YES then they extended the table and said…. Maximum 8 … some were upset cos all 12 couldn’t fit in that section of the restaurant so my aunty and hubby decided to give up their space for my friends family of 12 to squeeze in….. the manger came out and GOODWILL made it work to allow us to take over the whole section 6 & 12 & 6 & 2 Then on the other big & 2 WOW just WOW the customer service was 10/10 and very very professional and attentive….: Not only has this place got great customer service the FOOD came out soooooo quick !!!! And the quality of STEAK WOW cooked to perfection….. and on my uncles table he order the fish and aunty orders the lamb…:: they too were sooooo impressed and ate up so fast… we left after 60 mins anyways although we had a 90 min gap 🤣 Thank you sooooo much for a lovely time for my massive group Very much appreciated !!! Defo Reccomend this restaurant to anyone that’s in the Bournemouth area…. THANK U Love PHONG

Never been here before. French brasserie. Booked table online & got text reminder few days before to confirm or cancel. Was attendIng Bournemouth pavilion for 7.30pm show so booked table for 6pm. Was able to access menu on booking so mum could see what was suitable to eat. We parked outside Bournemouth pavilion & crossed the road & walked short distance to restaurant. We had cheese souffle, chicken liver pate, scallops & salmon main. All were delicious & not too large in size. I think the staff know people in at this time are attending Bournemouth pavilion so the service was prompt. On arrival we were told table was upstairs (this was not mentioned in online booking), we declined as mum has a stick & promptly got found a downstairs table for 2. Excellent. Busy on this occasion but the tables were not squashed together. No photos of food I'm afraid as attendee not keen on mobiles at the table. So 3 starters, 1 main, (mum eats like a bird so had starter for a main also), 1 coke & water, service fee included was £54. Tasty food, excellent service & lovely brasserie. Will go again in May 2025 when my son & I once again venture to Bournemouth pavilion.
