What to say about Banquet Night at Tandoori Nights.
All you need to know is you need to get there on either a Monday or Wednesday to experience a great atmosphere, great food, an amazing host in Mahmood and all at an incredibly good price too.
The welcome we received was fabulous and our booked booth was large and spacious and accommodated all the food (and there was a lot!) from the banquet for the four of us dining last Wednesday.
The place was practically full, which is a testament to Mahmood and his team, who have created a little gem just across the road, at the bottom of the High Street, and provide real quality food with a smile and at a great price, especially when you rock up on Banquet Night.
The poppadom's were fresh, there was ample chutney's etc., and the (homemade by Mahmood) yoghurt sauce that came with our starters (3 of us had chicken tikka and 1 Lamb tikka), which were great, stayed behind for the main courses too.
Those main courses, Honey Butter Chicken, Chicken Bhuna and Chicken Naga, were all plentiful in portion and the naan breads, fresh and crispy on the outside and the sides (vegetable Curry and Bombay Aloo), were also all well cooked and presented.
If you're not full after that, try the Indian Tea, which was really nice and a change from finishing a meal with a coffee.
All in all, a fabulous evening, with great food and atmosphere and in Mahmood, you definitely get 'the host with the most'. A thoroughly lovely guy, as are the whole team, who work hard to make sure your experience with them is the best possible.
Don't delay, get that booking in with them and go see...
Read moreWe visited Tandoori Nights in Poole after a recommendation, and it did not disappoint! Coming from London, we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to Indian food, but this place genuinely impressed us.
The food was amazin, rich in flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic, and the portions were generous. We especially appreciated that the food is halal, which can be hard to find locally.
The customer service was outstanding. Staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It’s clear they take pride in both their food and hospitality.
Another big plus: the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served.
If you're in Poole (or even nearby), we highly recommend trying this place. We’ll definitely be back next time...
Read moreI gave it two stars just for the food. The food was great. But the hospitality was not. A friend of mine and I had gone to this place over 4 months back. The waiter there kept asking us personal questions. What religion we follow, do we believe in god? He asked me how many siblings I have and if they are married or not. Furthermore, he was not only in our personal spaces, he was warning us against their own food. We had ordered naan and butter chicken. He goes "the butter chicken here is a very sweet dish. You should not have ordered it with the naan". He was shaking his head even while serving the dish. I have nothing against this place other than that particular person. I hope they look...
