Kills me to not leave a great review of Nusara, the food was insanely good but the service was abysmal. We went Friday evening so appreciated it would be busy, It’s fair to say the restaurant was busy on arrival but looked well managed. Everything through to clearing the mains was fine, after that it was terrible. Not offered dessert, coffee or further drinks (all of which we were planning to and would have had) At this point the restaurant had thinned out and there was say 4/5 tables still with guests. There was one point 6 staff were stood around doing nothing talking about Love Island while we were all actively getting their eye contact yet no one came to serve. Gave up after 45mins from clearing mains and asked for the bill which eventually came. We told the girl who took the payment to remove the service charge (which I never ever do) to which she didn’t ask why or question it. I explained why (without her prompt) to receive a very disinterested “sorry” no suggestion of having the coffee/dessert at that point or any particular care that we had raised the issue. So so disappointing as the food, restaurant and overall ambiance of the place is so good. Please Nusara get some more attentive staff or retrain existing group, they severely let you down on...

Well what a incredible choice for Thai food. My attempts to book the other 2 close by Thais failed but saying that it was to our great advantage. Because the other 2 were not able to accommodate 6 people it fell to Nusara to come to the rescue. The service and staff were attentive and accomodating and enable us to sit out side as well. So first Gold Star Then the food....starters I could have had everyone... plentiful in portion and tasted great,I could have easily had 4/6 starters as a main! Then the choice of mains from Wok to curry to noodle dishes....divine and again the tastes were heavenly. Will definitely come again, the background music was hok but the guy could have been a little more attentive to his tunes,a little like one similar tune in a meet go round😂 however it was great to have playing in the background. The portions were great, sticky rice just so,not to hot or spicey. And one last thing for 6 of us including drinks £32 a person..great value 😍 Loveeeeeeeeeed it. Thankyou to all the staff...

After reading the reviews the expectations were high and to be honest, it disappointed.

Overpriced and incredibly measley portions.

Mediocre starters, squid was chewy. Flavourless roast veg salad and also a measly portion, and not worth the £9.

A portion of rice was about a quarter of what I'd expect. Not enough for the Thai red curry. But I guess a silver lining that that was also a tiny bowl. Pad Thai was meh. Measly portion. About 5 king prawns.

Spent £66 on food I could have done in the air fryer and a pan at home with an Aldi Thai curry cut. And Aldi ones taste better. And I was hungry after.Waited ages for the food too.

The staff were nice. Had to ask them a couple of times to take away empty glasses and bottles as the tables were TINY! So this was an irritation as we were sharing and there was no room for anything.

Just a meh experience. Part of a restaurant that like many others, has maximised the covers they have, reduced the portions and...

Simply amazing. Huge outdoor dining space, indoor decorated in a nice Thai style. We had a nice window table overlooking the outside area. Great choice on the menu, the sort of place you could just order starters from all night and be happy enough, but following up with a mix of mains we kept debating what the best dish was! Can't remember the authentic names of all the starters we had, but Pork Satay, Chicken in lettuce, Calamari, Prawns, all incredible, just gutted we didn't order more. Mains of Prawn Pad Thai, Beef Pad Thai, Lamb shank, Green Chick curry were all absolute spot on. Staff couldn't have been friendlier of more helpful. Great knowledge of the menu and ful of advice, very patient with our indecisive ordering too. Forgot to take pictures before we started so apologies for the rushed out of focus shots, I'll get better next time we go back, which we definitely will. 100% recommend going, you won't be disappointed.

Nusara stands out as a posh haven of Thai cuisine in the area, offering a more refined take than the other Thai restaurants in Poole. The attention to detail is evident across the menu, elevating classic dishes to something a bit more polished without sacrificing authenticity. We sampled the Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Crispy Beef, and each dish delivered on both flavour and presentation. The Pad Thai came with just the right balance of tang and sweetness, the noodles perfectly cooked with a delightful bite. The Green Curry was rich and aromatic, its coconut base carrying a deep warmth that didn’t overwhelm the delicate spices. The Crispy Beef, with its subtle crunch, was a standout, adding a satisfying texture to the meal. While it’s a bit pricier than some of the more casual options nearby, Nusara justifies it with quality ingredients and well-executed dishes. For a more elevated Thai dining experience, it’s a solid choice.
