I don't normally write reviews but had to make an exception here. We found the Courtyard Cafe after looking up local cafes in Poole and was pleasantly surprised by the initial setting and all seemed very nice. We were attentively served by an amiable young lady and ordered a variety of breakfast choices but unfortunately the meals were just awful. My wife had an eggs royale with lumpy scrambled eggs absolutely SWIMMING in hollandaise sauce (unfinished)! My son and l both had cooked breakfasts including sausages falling apart (frozen), slightly undercooked hash browns(frozen which the waitress eluded to), lumpy scrambled eggs and to top it off my daughter found of clump of hair in her food which was so off putting. To be fair, they were very apologetic and promptly replaced my daughter's meal and the manager didn't charge us for it but overall the food was very unappetising as all of us left our meals unfinished. As we left, the manager was sitting down in the courtyard smoking a cigarette, on her phone right where customers sit and you just got this overall impression that attention to detail and quality of food isn't their forte. Not for us but hope they can make improvements as it is a nice setting but the food experience we had was...

Tiny little cafe off Poole High Street.Drably decorated, vinyl table cloths An open kitchen, Literally two small rooms with four tables and a larger courtyard which I understand they will be having live music. Good luck with that if it gets busy. My first visit and only visit wasn't great. They forgot my coffee order and the jacket potatoes which tasted OK were only just hot enough to eat and the skin wasn't crispy, it came with a big load of undressed salad leaves dumped in the plate. I don't think they know how to use their new jacket potato oven, given the conversation I heard from the tiny kitchen.Very slow service given there were 3 staff. The other dinners we sat near complainted they had slow service and cold food. The poor chap by the front door was constantly having to close it after customers coming in and out left it open . It was a cold day and the place was chilly even with the guy shutting the door . Given the amount of cafes and restaurants in Poole we won't be going to...

This was a lovely little tea room. On a rainy afternoon by myself, I decided to check if they had space for me to enjoy a cream tea, about half an hour before closing. Lucky me they did! The tea options were fine (I generally don't look much beyond the black and red teas anyway); I liked that they served their tea with an extra pot of hot water. The scones were HUGE and I appreciated being able to choose two different kinds. The ambiance was nice and cozy, maybe a just a little eclectic. I thought the cream tea was a good value. The people around me were enjoying high teas, and they looked pretty good and seem like a good value as well. A couple last mentions -- They do have a little courtyard for when the weather is nicer. Another good thing was that they didn't kick me out right at closing time. I had nearly another scone to finish, and I was able to do that comfortably without feeling like a nuisance. I would definitely recommend a stop here if...

Just re-opened under new ownership, Penny and her team have made this wonderful tea-room breathtakingly perfect. I hired the Snug for a 50th Birthday breakfast for my best friend and Penny her team couldn’t have been more accommodating or welcoming. The food was incredible. So good we double breakfasted haha! The menu is varied, traditional yet unique and the food absolutely gorgeous. Feel emosh from such an extra special experience. It’s lovely, absolutely perfect. Oooo, they even have hot water bottles and blankets incase people want to sit outside on cooler days. Toooo cuuuute. Thank you both for the best morning xx
