When I recently went here for a drink for the first time in ten years I was left feeling that I had passed through a time warp back to the 1990s. Almost nothing has changed, and it shows in how tatty it all looks. If you remember the stools, carpet, pictures etc. then chances are it's still what you remember. And yes, that does include the stinking toilets that make you want to wretch. The ageing theme extends to the drinks and, of course, cards. Offer to pay with a card and they'll point you towards a bank up the road. Somebody needs to point the owner towards a diary in the hope they realise what year this is and that its about time the place was given some TLC.

Nice little pub for a drink or cheap meal. Food is basic but cooked well. The breaded cod is a favourite of mine. Trivia night on Wednesday. Nice sheltered beer garden. Only problem is that sometimes the kitchen is not open for lunch as advertised. Basic offering of beer and wine.

Proper old school pub in the Centre of Nantwich. Beer options are a little limited but the one I had was fine. Couple of pool tables & slots but main focus is low cost drink & food options preferably with a decent group of friends.

The owner was rude as soon as we stepped in the door saying we can’t play pool because we are under 18 so we ask about the sign on the door “saying under 18s allowed anywhere on the premises until 5 pm” and she said she’s the boss she makes the rules And says we give her an attitude for asking the question And says we can play pool if we bring an adult. Then when my 19-year-old family member comes, she denies her ID and says that it must be the parent of us And says that the ID is fake without even looking at it and won’t accept it. Decor on the inside is boring as ever and toilets were dirty when I was allowed to go. (I did have a photo of the sign but Must have deleted it...

Often call in for a swift half when visiting Nantwich. Its inevitably daytime when we go to this place and its usually fairly quite with just a few locals having a drink, cant comment on what its like during evenings or busier times though. They do typical pub food and their menu/prices seem reasonable but we've not eaten there. They have a fairly large beer garden out back with a "smokers shed". The internal decor is dated and a bit shabby although the front of the pub has recently been repainted. A TV is present in the bar area. Overall I find The Bowling Green a...
