Unique pub at the bottom of Seaham High St. Decor related to local mining history gives a distinctive and nostalgic feel for anyone with relations to the North East mining industry. A mock pit tunnel and miner underneath the pub itself below a glass panel in the floor! It has the local history of Seaham pits on the walls which must give a sense of local pride for the pub owners and the people who frequent this pub. It has a good selection of drinks for customers to enjoy. When we were in it had a good atmosphere about the place, it was a saturday afternoon, a few groups and a few couples so a good mixture. Read moreLovely little bar in a great location and with friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This bar is adjoining Slice pizza and you can eat pizza you order in here which is excellent and a real added bonus. To bump up to a fifth star I would love to see a bit more beer variety, perhaps with a guest beer pump or some craft ale cans and bottles in the fridge.
Would still be more than happy to return though, especially when the pizza shop...
