Commercial Scarborough — Restaurant in England

Would NOT recommend this place !! The barmaid (who I believe is also the landlady) was miserable as sin, did NOT crack a smile the entire time we were there, not even as we handed over our hard earned cash!!! The drinks were far more expensive than other pubs on Falsgrave. The ladies toilets and the kitchen are at right angles to each other (right next door to one another) and both doors are left OPEN!! (yuck)

And, the worst part of all. Half way through my meal, I noticed half of my chicken was bad - the bottom of it was rock solid (couldn't pierce it with my knife or fork) and was an off brown colour. We raised this to the waitress's attention .... she didn't even attempt to apologise. She offered me another piece of chicken, which I refused as I'd been thoroughly put off my meal. I was then told that as I'd already eaten some of my meal, they wouldn't give me a refund. They offered me a free drink. I was feeling very sick at this point so my partner ordered a pint of fosters ... which was FLAT and warm.

I felt very ill for the remainder of the evening and the first half of the next day. Although I didn't vomit, I did have a very upset stomach!!

Money well spent?? Money in the jukebox goes nowhere but pockets, it would seem. Songs management seemingly dont like get skipped. Apparently because the jukebox is on "shuffle". Sat for ages waiting for my songs to come on after the first of mine played... management went to the jukebox, then skipped every single one of my songs. Allegedly. Twice now this has happened.
