Mainly only trains to York with issues if a disabled passenger transferring platform.. a very few early and last services run past York ! In good old days direct service to Blackpool x Manchester Airport X even summer Saturday to London St Pancras! The other line trains to Hull frequently late X cancelled completely because turned around at Filey to keep part service on time but Scarborough X Seamer forgotten. Sooner GB railways is completed maybe Scarborough Station gets some longer direct routes x less aborted...

I used a Transpennine train from York to Scarborough station recently as I had to get to Whitby and Scarborough station is the nearest station to Whitby, You collect a bus which runs every hour just outside of station to Whitby. Scarborough station is at the end of the line. There was building work going on when I visited, but it was ok. Toliets were on site, and the ticket office was just in the main entrance.
