Lovely little pub set back away from the Main Street in Rochester. Very traditional looking inside and out, with dual aspect bar inside and beer garden to the rear. Reminded me of the pubs of my youth, which I know doesn’t help as you don’t know my age. 😛 Visited for drinks in the garden on a weekend, nice buzz to the place and good atmosphere. Tiger beer on draft, rare to see but good to see. Also Tayto crisps. Didn’t look at the food on this occasion so no comments on that. Nonetheless. The type of pub we all wish was our local. 🍺

First time back here since before lockdown. Well worth seeking out! Lovely little real ale pub. Had 3 halfs which were all excellent and very reasonably priced! Cosy inside. Lovely outside garden area! Recommended!

Oldest pub in the Southeast. The beers were great and hlthe Sunday roast very good! (Book in advance). The staff was friendly and overall a great place to go to when visiting Rochester.

The Coopers Arms in Rochester, Kent, is a charming and welcoming pub with a rich history. I visited on a wet and windy evening after a long day of plumbing training, and it was exactly the refuge I needed.

From the moment I stepped inside, the warmth of the place was a stark contrast to the dreary weather outside. The inviting atmosphere immediately put me in a good mood. I was greeted by a charming woman who had worked behind the bar for over a decade. Her warmth and professionalism reflected the heart of the establishment, and she had a genuine knack for making guests feel at home.

The pub has a unique historical charm, though its stories and secrets remain untold, its a testament to its character and intrigue. What truly stood out was the friendly nature of the locals and the cheery publicans, who made me feel right at home. Their hospitality added to the overall comfort and made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The Coopers Arms is a perfect spot to unwind, especially on a cold or rainy evening. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's well worth a visit for its ambiance and warm...

We parked away from the high street especially to go to this pub for its great rating, only to be greeted as soon as we opened the door by a horrible and non-friendly Jack Russell, who had come sprinting down towards us with no efforts to be called back. We asked for food menus and just got “foods only Thursday and Fridays” with no friendly warmth or apology for the wasted journey at all. The Jack Russell then was continuously jumping up the back of my boyfriend’s legs barking its head off with teeth out, still no efforts to be called away or apologies. Do not...
