We've visited twice & both occasions felt a little, ripped off... they're nice inside & believe it's family run, but that doesn't really excuse the experience

We're locals & so we gave this place a go as reviews looked pretty good, but were actually really disappointed. Both times, had really long wait times for food (& wasn't even exceptionally busy, empty tables despite being small) - first time we waited 40 minutes for a sandwich, the second time we waited 1 hour for breakfasts.

Not only that, the menu had pluralised certain items, but then served singles (i.e. mushrooms, hash browns - it was one mushroom and one hash brown)

We also asked for some avocado on the breakfasts, despite taking an hour, you'll never guess how much a messy half-avocado cost... £2.50 per half slice. £5 per avocado...

Four breakfasts and four iced coffees cost us just shy of £60 and considering we'd waited over an hour for food, which was pretty underwhelming.

Needless to say we won't be back! Go to Cote Brasserie instead, similar pricing but significantly upmarket & definitely won't leave...

I’ve been coming to this cafe for awhile and it was decent. The coffees were very good, however the food has always been subpar, never meeting the standards of any of any five star restaurants or even any cafés around it. All of the competition has far exceeded this café when it comes to food and it does not deserve the five star reviews it has. The only reason i have been coming back is due to the friendly service, however even today on this Tuesday, that was put to an end as the atmosphere was cold and uninviting, it feels very tense as if the employees were on edge and I was being rushed out of my seat and the food was even worse! This cafe seems to be a hit or miss for the service and coffee depending on who is working, with the contrast between the friendly young staff and the apathetic manager, however one word of advice is to not order the food. The prices are extortionate compared to the lacklustre food being put on the plate, for example a double smashed avocado for £15, though all it is is clumpy smashed avocado with poorly poached eggs on...

Breakfast was really delicious amazing smoked salmon, super tender scrambled eggs on a crispy toast and portion was unexpectedly large, really enjoyed the food!!!10/10 I wish coffee was better, tried the cold one and cappuccino. Also was put off by one of the staff who rushed us out saying in a irritated manner "she needs to get us to move through because there are other people waiting outside". I think there was no need for that comment as we were just taking our things from the table and on the way out of the place. So it was obvious we were leaving anyway, getting us out 3 seconds earlier won't make a difference, but that comment did change the...

Absolutely fantastic. My expectations are generally not high in super-touristy spots like this but I was thoroughly impressed by the Eaten Cafe. Very friendly service, great prices (meal deal of sandwich drink & crisps for under 8 quid) and very, very tasty. I had a chicken & bacon sandwich and although a monster door-stop turned up the fact they use very fresh light fluffy bread meant I was satisfied but not writing off my need for an evening meal. Both the gent and the lady who served me were all smiles and my food came out quickly. Well done Eaten Cafe I'm in town another week or so you'll probably see my face again ! Thank you & keep up the great work.

It started with a phone call, when pleasant man gave me local parking 🅿️ information and the I drove down and parked outside. Braving the rainstorm, I went in to get a veggie breakfast 🍳 it was amazingly awesome and those little broccoli nuggets were just the best veggies I ever had. Anyway the Greek service was kind and I look forward to coming back during better weather. So, may I can sit outside and enjoy the same tasty food 🍲 can’t wait for that!
