The Fat Buddha Maidenhead — Restaurant in England

We have been here once before and it was amazing! So we brought our family and ate as a table of 6. Our table was booked for 7:30 but due to parking issues 2 members of our party didn't arrive until 7:45. When seated we had to ask to order drinks, and when finally having our food order taken at 8:15, we were rudely told we could not order starters (nobody had mentioned this until we tried to order starters) and the waiter just repeatedly said that all food would come together as it was "too late" to have them separate. Unfortunately this was not the best start to the meal and the service was quite bad. Our food came and was absolutely delicious, and could not be faulted! Due to the issues at the start however we did not stay after our mains and left shortly after. Disappointingly we had quiet a few tables arrive after us - and you even accepted a table of 4 at 9:15 - so unsure why there was an issue with us being able to have starters. Will probably try take away in the future, but the dine in service leaves little to compliment...

We visited The Fat Buddha in Maidenhead assuming it would be a great place to eat as we did a little research of where to eat within the local area. On arrival the restaurant looked lovely with stylish interior and welcoming staff, however our experience wasn't as great we hoped. At first we ordered some Mojitos which weren't so great and two of them were mixed with the incorrect ingredients which was stated on their menu. The worst part of our experience was our family waiting 55 minutes for our starters to come out to the table, and when we asked for an update they stated it would be a few minutes longer but ended up being another 10 minutes. The staff were fine when dealing with, however overall they were very unorganised and running around like headless chickens. Even when paying the bill there was no apology or discount for the inconvenience. The other thing to highlight is that there was no children's menu or any food options for kids. Very disappointing indeed and wouldn't recommend...

I have ordered a few times from the Maidenhead restaurant when I feel like treating myself as the food has been absolute top quality and very, very tasty! I could not flaw it at all. However, on ordering today the food was THE worst food I have had from an Indian restaurant. given the price this is not something I was expecting and it was not just one dish that was not at par to their usual standards it was literally every dish I had ordered (almost £70's worth). The food was bland and tasted like it was cooked by someone who doesn't know what they are doing. If I had eaten in the restaurant and was served this food I would have refused it - this is how bad it was. Normally the food is extremely good and to have it be this bad this time is hugely disappointing. This rating is to reflect my experience of the food I had this order and not overall impression. My guess is they had a different chef come in who didn't know what...
