This was my favourite little pub in Whitby but will not be returning. Disgraceful behaviour from a member of staff - who possibly is the landlady. She stormed into the pub and shouted loudly at me and my partner to 'get out' without giving any reason at all. We was in an Irish pub ? We went back a second time and my husband out of politeness apologised she said ill let you off I was absolutely furious had a very cocky attitude couldn't wait for her shift change to come on as he was an absolute delight the only reason we stayed coz she was ending her shift she needs to go on a customer services course and do her homework...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were 2 couples on a weekās holiday. First impressions, thought everywhere good do with a good clean but you find these sort of pubs end up being the best. But that theory wasnāt to be with this place. Very unpleasant barman, we spent a good amount of money in here but got the feeling our faces didnāt fit. Landlord was very arrogant, didnāt even have the courtesy to look at my husband while he tried to make conversation. Some really good pubs have had to shut after falling on hard times. Shame it didnāt happen to this place. Doesnāt deserve peopleās hard earned money to keep this place open....
