This is my local and my regular. The beer is good, wide range of real ale, including from the micro brewery, and good range of continental bottles as well as lagers (and unfortunately Carlsberg, which isn't the landlord's choice). Also a wide range of spirits, rather than just bog standard pub ones. The food is fantastic, especially the burgers. Sunday is a really good roast with 3 different meats. Quiz on Tuesdays, with a possible top prize of £200, as well as beer tokens. Regular gigs which are worth going to, vinyl night occasional Sunday, and a beer festival 3 times a year. The food is just ok. Roast potatoes need to be crunchy and fluffy. Cauliflower cheese shouldnāt be so mustardy. Yorkshire pudding should be a little bit doughy but not greasy. And I like my roast beef pink in the middle.
