Lovely deli in the middle of Ambleside. We picked up lunches from here on 3 days. 1st time we had Frittata with salad, 2nd time Humus and slaw sandwiches and 3rd time mixed salad boxes, all I can say is thankfully they are 250 miles from home otherwise I would be the size of a house. The frittata was one of the nicest I have had, served with a choice of 3 salads from the available selection, a perfect lunch whilst out walking. The humus and slaw sandwiches were exceedingly tasty but also exceedingly filling. The salad boxes were amazing, simply select which salads you want (probably easier to say which ones you don't want) and they fill the box. We had enough left over from lunch that we had plenty to have with some falafels...

You get a friendly welcome and smiling service from Alec, Claire and Ben. All of whom seem too really love what they're doing. The Cafe is situated down a little side street overlooking a stream and on occasion the waterwheel can be seen turning - it's lovely.

They have a huge range of options, from pies to burrito to freshly made sandwiches to Buddha bowls, etc. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
