Always a relaxed and friendly place with a similar atmosphere, probably the most relaxing, sociable, and amiable pub in Pickering. A varied "calendar" of events/quizzes/live music/karaoke added to a superb range of drinks choices, regular C.A.M.R.A. Award winners, a huge garden for enjoying those days and evenings outside....when the great British weather permits!! I've been a patron for decades, since last century, and it's always a pleasure to visit. Read moreThis is the first time l have been to the Sun. Definitely go again. We went with 5 adults and three children various ages and one dog. We sat outside in the large garden with lots of seating. Although they don't serve food the kids were happy with crisps and snacks. Drinks were good and my son in law said the beer 🍺 was always good. Favourites include Tetleys traditional Cask ale and Yorkshire Legend - brewed 14 miles away in Helmsley.
