Our evening started off as a lovely experience as we was a large group of 12 and they could accommodate us as a walk in. We was originally sat on the large central table, but about 5 minutes in we was told we would need to split onto 3x 4 people tables due to another large prebooked group. Our orders got taken and our group which was the first table that they served was given our food promptly and we had no complaints, even when they forgot two poppadoms they rectified the issue swiftly. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The other table took around 30-45 minutes to get their food and our 3rd table took well over an hour by which point the other two tables had long finished their food. The other two tables said their food was bland and watery, as if it had been rushed. The lady was apologetic for them being short staffed but we wished they had communicated from the start if we was too large of a group for them to cater for and we could’ve gone somewhere else. We was in the restaurant for nearly 3 hours in the end as the service was that bad. Everyone else in the restaurant was also experiencing the same issues, with waiting over an hour for food being commonplace. It’s definitely a shame as on a quieter night or a takeaway this restaurant has potential but unfortunately for our group it has to be the worst part of our stay...
Read moreI came here yesterday at night and I loved the experience. The walls were red and there were LED red lights on the ceiling all around the edge and there were candle shaped lights 4 corners of the ceiling and there were 4-5 of them in the middle which looked really nice and matched everything . On the wall there was a big image of The Taj Mahal, which reminds you of it and seems as if it’s next to you in the background. The seating of the the place was perfect . Everyone who was there were having a good time and enjoyed the food.I really liked the food, it was delicious, the naan bread had the real taste of garlic, kebabs, chicken tikka and the lamb chops were very tasty and delicious , had lots of flavour. The service was fantastic as soon as I stepped in the restaurant I was greeted and the waiter took me to the table and took the order, which came in less than 20 mins. Staff was very nice and polite. When they came with the food to put on the table they set the table so it looks nice. The food was steaming, freshly made.I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. The looks of the place 10/10, the presentation of the food 10/10, the taste of the food 10/10, the experience was fantastic would definitely come again. Some photos of...
Read moreThe Taj Mahal restaurant in Blackpool is one of the best restaurants. The food is absolutely brilliant and cannot fault it one bit. The restaurant is run by the family and the chef is the owner of the restaurant. We had Chana curry and Bhindi Bhaji with Tandoori roti downed with a a jug of salted Lassi. The dishes were spot on and on point. Couldn't ask for more. We had to personally thank the owners who cooked the food. The son of the owner took us into the kitchen to meet the owner who was cooking other curries. I take my hat off to both husband and wife who are preparing tasty food day in day out 7 days a week. Please, anyone who is in Blackpool go and eat at the Taj Mahal restaurant, you will be licking that plate clean. One thing you all need to bear in mind is that alcohol is not served and you will need to bring your own. This should not put you off dining at the Taj Mahal. The owners sons also work there and bring your orders to you. The staff are very welcoming. Had a good chat with both the owners sons. Good lads they are. Stop and have a chat with the sons. We will definitely be returning to the Taj Mahal on our next trip...
